We walked by that place every day and walked a little bridge (probably 1.5 feet wide x 20 feet long) across a creek that run right beside that house. As you can remember when it would rain a lot that creek would get out of it's banks and be up in the yard of that little house. There was a spring about 100 feet from the house that used to never go dry no matter how dry it was that year.

Our grandpa & grandma lived in that house (best I can remember in the late 20s and early 30s) and mom and dad lived in another house just behind that house. I've worked(and played) a lot in that old barn. I have several pictures of it also. As you know, I don't think of that house as you do but I do think of that holler and all the good times we had up there. I go back up there just about every time I go back to TN.Nealhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05153009268038849033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162042727452052782.post-53142578564258820122008-05-07T10:19:00.000-04:002008-05-07T10:19:00.000-04:00I loved reading this post and quite liked when you...I loved reading this post and quite liked when you said " (...) were young and had stars in our eyes and thought all things were possible (...), because I think we should always keep trying ... of course I know not everything is possible but sometimes believing is a very good help!
Did you ever got to receive the Versailles photos?Ferreira-Pintohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03210744525977168537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162042727452052782.post-11793461566097682912008-05-07T12:35:00.000-04:002008-05-07T12:35:00.000-04:00Precious memories, Rose.
