Yes, they'd be super cute babies, but it would be so cool to have them lay fresh eggs, and I love to see them out pecking free range. Friends who keep hens tell me that they are such big personalities. My son is sadly allergic to egg, but he's fascinated by everything to do with eggs - from the chicken to the chook to the egg. Perhaps it's a case of the "forbidden fruit" syndrome.Bonny Bonafillahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17735110907048794437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162042727452052782.post-7698281077311110732017-03-16T16:08:40.896-04:002017-03-16T16:08:40.896-04:00A few years ago I was going outside in bitter cold...A few years ago I was going outside in bitter cold, snowy weather and getting "the picture". The first word out of his mouth was dog. We used to visit a friend who had a beautiful big fluffy white dog. He next learned how to say Dada and I would try to tea him how to say Mama. I swear that baby boy had a twinkle in his eye when he kept saying Dada, because I would say no, I am Mama. He would squeal with delight and say Dada. He learned early :)

We had two inches of snow, not so bad. It's sunny now so hopefully no more. I know what you mean about not wanting to go out in it. I said no but they sure are cute and if our chickens don't start laying again we might just might!
Funny stories, golly, the only one I can think of is when Kylee was about 4 maybe and we were in the check out line at the grocery store and she said could I get her some lip gloss and I said you have some already and she piped up real loud--oh I don't have it anymore my Mom used it on her herpes---You could hear a pin drop---I said hush and she shouted it out again and then everyone laughed right out loud. Her Mother had a cold sore on her lip----I hope!
MBSmall City Sceneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12307313549480618415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162042727452052782.post-35995921565377308412017-03-14T10:55:46.102-04:002017-03-14T10:55:46.102-04:00What a pretty chick you have there! ;)What a pretty chick you have there! ;)Lois Evensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11129343619065721588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162042727452052782.post-74807065051386414462017-03-14T07:58:43.314-04:002017-03-14T07:58:43.314-04:00I love chicks as pets and I love bacon too! I remember when Laurie was about 13 and bought her best friend Justy a chick for Easter. It was only about 5 minutes before Justy's father called. I could here him yelling even though I sat 5 feet away from it "Laurie, you get down here and take this chick back!!!"

There are so many things the kids did or said that we remember. Funny how little things bring the memory back.

I know exactly what you mean about staying in when we get a little snow.
