I remember the school lunches and their milk tasted so good to me. I'm not a big milk fan, but on the farm all we got was milk straight from the cow and I didn't like the taste of it!

The no bake chocolate cookies are still one of my son's favorites when he is home. I'll still make them once in a while. I miss the days when little girls were dressed like little girls. We had to wear dresses to school also and they had to be just below the knee. It was all of those fancy starched slips/ruffles we wore under full skirts/dresses?????

I never ate in the school lunchroom. We were allowed to leave school --so I would eat at a little restaurant named Carmines. We had to wear stockings or socks and the older more experienced girls would run a line up the back of their legs and pretend they had nylons on. My Mother remembers when pant suits were allowed at work, She said finally she could keep her legs warm. I'm older than you, and I had to wear dresses to class even in college until about my senior year. Our lunch was about the same way as yours in high school, but unlike you, I never had pizza at school. That was about the time that pizza was just beginning to be heard of around these parts. I remember mom buying a Chef Boyadee one that you put together yourself to try...it wasn't very exciting. I didn't really discover pizza until I went away to college. I led a "sheltered" life even in the big city of Indianapolis until I went away to school.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16552777489399984385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162042727452052782.post-70812419700316839372013-07-17T09:14:14.772-04:002013-07-17T09:14:14.772-04:00if i can post hibiscus and night blooming cactus o...if i can post hibiscus and night blooming cactus over and over you can do your lilies. they are stunning and look so real i can almost touch them. i do remember crinolines and the fact we could not wear pants to school. i graduated in 1963 and we were not allowed pants in school then. i think that changed in the 70's.MadSnapperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08163140037276496519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162042727452052782.post-76814934376566385122013-07-17T01:34:52.421-04:002013-07-17T01:34:52.421-04:00NO don't stop posting the lilies, they are gor...NO don't stop posting the lilies, they are gorgeous and brighten up Blogland!! I think my favorite is the second that is bright yellow and has stripes, but they are all just out of this world! When I went to school you went to the principal's office and got in big trouble for chewing gum, or wearing culottes. Now you go to the principal's office for shooting everyone, what has HAPPENED??Ginny Hartzlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09329131153403895625noreply@blogger.com
