Evening glow from the strip pits

Another coyote at the strip pits....I would yip at him and he would look...notice the warm glow of evening light.
This is the glow as the day was ending.

It was another day of temps over 100ºF...it did cloud up this evening but not a drop of rain here.

  2. Beautiful photos... I love that 2nd one... What a sunset....

There were 2-3 inches of rain just east of us today--and nothing but drizzles here, until about 6:30 p.m. when we got a little rain... Hope we get more tomorrow and Friday.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  5. Love that last shot! I've never seen coyotes at our stipper pits, but we haven't gone for quite awhile. I'm so depressed with everything being so dry, I'm afraid to go and see how it looks there.

  7. I like the ruddy glow on the crops. I wonder how the coyote is faring with his hunting in this time of drought.

  14. Your first picture reminds me so much of where we lived in Texas...I used to see the coyotes and the deer in that late afternoon glow and they would blend in with the grasses. Very pretty scene! Love the sunset too.
