Really enjoyed this ...Lovely, lovely, lovely post. Really enjoyed this one. Understand the little smile from Lorelei is really one of the big things of life. I also understand how a smell can take a person back. A couple of years ago I stepped in a old house where they only heated the living room and kitchen, when they opened the door to the un-heated bedroom it took me straight back to my Granny's bedroom. I couldn't have told somebody what her unheated bedroom smelt like, but opening that door took me straight to it in an instant. Yes, I really enjoyed this post.Leedrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04914177127665868671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162042727452052782.post-37613609356780968052009-07-10T16:54:21.093-04:002009-07-10T16:54:21.093-04:00You forgot the smell of fresh hay and the smell of...You forgot the smell of fresh hay and the smell of freshly plowed soil. :) I can still remember the first morning after we moved to the new house. George and I went back to the old place and stayed all night after we moved so we could bring the animals down the next morning and I can remember walking to the house and smelling mom cooking breakfast.Nealhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05153009268038849033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162042727452052782.post-58141997522148126682009-07-10T16:31:43.820-04:002009-07-10T16:31:43.820-04:00I agree that many of the BEST things in life are s...I agree that many of the BEST things in life are simple. I find that very comforting. Just think - you and I can be just as happy (and probably way more happy) than someone with tons of money.

Yep, you've found some teasel. It was a pretty good walk and you could smell the wood burning before you got very far.

Great macros of the Teasel! I love your comments and all those things make me smile thinking about them....except the honeysuckle. If we ever meet, I'll bring you some. Very pretty. Did it thistle a little tune?

I asked this of another the other day, but do you know the scientific term for a female parental thistle?

Sure you do!
