At the moment my garden is full of green parakeets, which are definitely not a native species. They arrive in a posse and noisily devour everything. I worry that they're putting our native birds under pressure. Big Raccoon Creek looks amazing: a great place for little Lorelei to play on warm sunny days. However, 20 or so years ago I met a birder who promoted Blue Bird attraction and that is when my feeding REALLY took off. Yes, I buy seed in big bags and make my own mix. Not to be funny, but I am feeding the birds and squirrels, chipmunk and moles and even a mouse or too. The most amazing visitor a few years ago was a flying squirrel.<br />xx, CarolCarol- Beads and Birdshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11062821517519300477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-162042727452052782.post-70541331154236324742016-01-29T05:02:43.447-05:002016-01-29T05:02:43.447-05:00I love tomato juice!!!
