We went for a drive this morn--I had the intentions of getting another picture that did not work out. Hopefully I can work on that another day. But I managed to capture these beauties. I do not know the name of any of them right now. I don't ever remember seeing the flowers in the top photo...
The red flower below I have seen before and I think I knew the name at one time but for the life of me I cannot remember it now. I have spent a fair amount of time looking at images on google, but so far no luck.
And I don't know the name of either of these. Does anyone else? I know I will spend more time searching but if you have a name, I would not mind hearing it.
I got this post ready to publish earlier tonight and have since had some success in finding the names of these flowers.
ReplyDeleteThe top photo is Miami Mist, followed by one known as Fire Pink, and the third is Spiderwort.
So far, I have not found the yellow flower but will post it if I run across it.
And I love that yellow flower with the insect of some sort - a wonderful photo!
ReplyDeleteThey are all pretty flowers. I have some spiderwort in my yard but the rest I've never seen before.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of flowers, and I am glad you found the names. We call the insect a 'sweat bee".
ReplyDeleteThese are all great but the top two pictures the flowers are so nice. Tomorrow 'Monday' I have a plant I came across on a walk I did last week.. I hope you can drop by to see it. Not as pretty as these but well worth looking at.
ReplyDeleteNice flowers
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blossoms, Rose. The firepink is so-o-o unusual! I don't think I've ever seen it before. I grow spiderwort in my gardens and it grows like a weed! But it's a lovely flower.
ReplyDeleteMe again, Rose.
ReplyDeleteHa! I just discovered Fire ouks grow in southern Ontario. I don't think I've EVER seen them, but now I'll keep my eyes peeled.
The yellow flower might be a sow thistle.
Pretty flowers that you found on your travels Rose, thank you for sharing! And those nasty little 'sweat bees' can make a nasty mark when they get their chance!
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE flower pics...thanks for these Rose!
