Roses

When our oldest daughter first moved out, she rented a little house not too far from here. It had belonged to the mom of her landlady. And this pink rose had belonged to the landlady's mom.
She was there for two seasons's of blooms...and she had several the first year. And the landlady and her brother could not get over how well/good it did under my daughter's care that year. This is from her second season with it. The photo of the whole plant is not the best, but just had to show you what it looked like.

That is a beautiful rose! I love roses, but have never done well growing them. The color is really pretty.

Gorgeous and breathtaking, WOW I love these pics! Apparently the roses do well with the TLC your daughter is giving them! Thank you for sharing, (and I must admit I thought of Laurie the minute I opened your blog page)-- so glad that Laurie saw them too! Have a great day!

Quint beat me to it - I was gonna say lovely Roses from Rose. They are lovely. I especially like that third one with the buds all around it - you should be very proud of that one.

The Rose Family

The rose is a rose,
And was always a rose.
But now the theory goes
That the apple's a rose,
And the pear is, and so's
The plum, I suppose.
The dear only knows
What will next prove a rose.
You, of course, are a rose--
But were always a rose.

Rose, these are wonderful photos! Looks like after a shower or a very heavy dew, but I want to reach out to sniff and admire the beauty.

I espectially like the second and third photos from top, though cropped a bit tight on the bottom. Wow, these are beautiful!
