I thought I would join Sky Watch Friday once again...it has been a while since I joined. I am still not sure how much time I will get to visit everyone, but I will at least be home playing nurse to a crippled cat.
These were all taken at the strip pits on the 28th. They are evening pictures; the above is looking east.
Then the above is a north west view....
and these are towards the actual sunset.I hope you enlarge them to get the full pleasure of them. And if you want to join please go to the Sky Watch Blog and sign in with Mr. Linky.
Gorgeous pictures, Rose.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2009.
Hugs,
Betsy

More terrific shots - you really found a gold mine in the pits (haha). Love the one with the birds, they look like they were hand-stitched across the sky.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Rose.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your poor kitty, but hope he recovers in due time. That poor little shaved behind! He needs lots of TLC, which I know he will get from you.

a fascinating series of shots - all the best fo 2009
ReplyDeleteAll very lovely shots of the sky :)
ReplyDeleteHappy 2009!! :)
They're all wonderful, but the third one of the series really hits it out of the park. The way the clouds converge on the horizon right where the sun is disappearing is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteHope your four-legged friend gets better quickly. That's just about as tough as having a sick kid. Tougher in some ways since they can't tell you what's wrong.
Much as we love your visits, the crippled cat needs you more :-) Lovely skies!
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful shots. Thank you so much for sharing them.

Very beartiful sunsets, Rose! I love the colors & nice shot of the bird formation!
ReplyDeleteI guess I missed the post where you explained what happened to Bubbie!
What happened to him! I think the last I'd read was that you didn't exactly know & was waiting to see what the vet said.
