Winter skies for Sky Watch
We finally had more than a skim of snow...but it was the kind that blew around till it was hard to tell how much we actually received. In spite of that, we did get out for a drive and these show some of the views we had on our way home. Not sure how they will show up on your computer...hope they are light enough. I have a heck of a time deciding what is good and what is not on this laptop. To join with your sky views or if you just want to visit more places, click on the badge at the top of this post.

Still waiting for the Sky Watch link to go up so I came by here knowing you would probably have one. I like them all and that pink in the middle one is quite unexpected.
ReplyDeleteIt's snowing here now and sticking so I'm hoping at least a covering.
Stay Warm.
Rose, you got more snow than we did. We got just enough to see as the wind blew it around.
ReplyDeleteIt looks good to me, I have the same problem with the back lite screen on my laptop. Good sky watch.
ReplyDeleteHey, snow is snow! Very nice skies over Indiana!
ReplyDeleteFirst, I love your header. Man your sky photos look COLD!

ReplyDeletehmmm sun's shy to show up, huh! happy skywatching!
ReplyDeleteHi Rose, Your pictures are great. You did get more snow than we did. It blew around here for awhile and some of it laid on our deck and a few other places. But--overall--we didn't get much!!! Darn!
ReplyDeleteIt is cold here though.. Got down to 10 degrees last night and is only 17 right now.. Yuk!
Hugs,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteHave a nice SWF.

Beautiful winter scenes. Thanks for sharing. Happy skywatching.
ReplyDeleteRose that looks so cold and bleak. I like the geese in the sky - I would really love to see them migrating. Nice shots and thanks for the visits.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your view of the sky, lots of colour and play of light and interesting things going on there.
ReplyDeleteIt really looks like and ideal winter - thank you for your visit and greetings from Croatia.
ReplyDeleteLovely Rose! No snow here...just COLD!
ReplyDeleteNice collection of photos.
ReplyDeleteWinterskies are so beautiful, but the barn in your header and your sepia-post I like more, nice countryplace you are living in.
ReplyDelete... and hallo to your cat, I think my cat Miene is her double.
Hartmut from Germany
I think all of those turned out well. So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNice shot! Happy weekend and SkyWatch.:o) Thanks for comments.

Very beautiful! The second photo has a pink spot, which makes the greyish photo suddenly even more interesting. I like all the photos.
ReplyDeleteLove the very gentle pinks in the sky and the sun peeking through.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely, Rose. I made exclamations of appreciation over these that are normally reserved for my morning coffee!!
ReplyDeleteLove the geese, and your snow pictures are lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Rose! I don't think it snowed any here....it snowed in IL and blew over here before it hit the ground. :)
ReplyDeleteBTW, you've been tagged .... see my blog for details. :)
Every one of these are great captures! Happy SWF
ReplyDeleteLook at all those birds & they're in the "V" & should be in this cold cold weather!!!
ReplyDeleteThese pics are nice for Sky Watch & I see a barn in the background there - a big red one!!! hehehe
You couldn't have done any better. I love all three of these.
ReplyDeleteRose: What a nice series of sky photos, I liked the bird line best.
ReplyDeleteNice winter scenes. Good job. I also like your header of the red barn. Where do you live in Indiana. I grew up north of Dayton, Ohio. Closest Indiana town was little Union City which became a place for people eloping from Ohio!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful winter series!
ReplyDeleteso beautiful photos!!
ReplyDeletehave a nice weekend!! :)
Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteI love the last photo with the line of birds.
ReplyDeletebeautiful series of photographs!
ReplyDeleteRose, the photos are wonderful. They give the real feeling of an overcast snowy day! :)
ReplyDeleteThis cold is awful! I like that bit of pink in the sky...hopeful! And the last shot of the geese flying in the sun...great! I have trouble with laptops and telling how things look, too.
ReplyDeleteWow, Rose! these are beautiful. It is cold here this morning, 17 degrees F at my house, but no snow or ice.
ReplyDeleteI can almost hear the geese honking. Its been cloudy here in Miami for 2 straight days. Unusual for Florida this time of year.
ReplyDeleteHello Rose
ReplyDeleteThese are nice indeed... love the pinks on show as well..
Hope you are well my friend. :O)

I like the bleak, wintry look of your two first pictures. The farm especially feels that way with the hint of color in the sky. The birds flying, aimed toward the sun, is inherently attractive. Nice pictures.
ReplyDeletewhen the sky is shades of gray a wee bit of color can make all the difference. Love the birds, maybe geese in the last shot, looks as though they flew out of the sun.
ReplyDeleteBrrrr...love that bit of pink high in the ice cold sky.
ReplyDeleteSo cold, but SO pretty, especially the last one! Happy weekend. :)
ReplyDeletenice assortment. especially like the last one.
ReplyDeleteOh, the birds in the sky are nice !
ReplyDeleteHave a happy weekend !
