I just had to show a couple things from my front yard....first the toadshade...then my dogwood tree. It is not the color pink that I wanted, but I still love it. I wanted one the color Betsy shows on her blog here. Be sure and scroll all the way to the bottom of the post to see a picture of a single bloom. I meant to ask her did she know what color it was called, so I bet she will tell me now if she remembers.
I know I post dogwood blossoms every year, but aren't they wonderful. The tree is just loaded with bloom.
ETA: I forgot to mention that my quest for tomato plants is over....at least I plan for it to be over. I talked to the local greenhouse owner yesterday and they should have some Super Fantastic tomato plants this weekend. They are an improved version of the Supersonic. Needless to say, I am very happy.
Oh so pretty, Rose!
ReplyDeleteI have pics of the new babies posted today - I even caught one jumping in mid air, she's sooo cute
Toadshade?! I never heard of it, but what a marvelous name - I think I need to get some for my yard!
ReplyDeleteI will never ever get tired of seeing Dogwood photos. They are my favorite spring flower and yours are just gorgeous. I have never heard of the Toadshade either but I thank you for introducing me to it, so interesting. Love blogging for the things you learn.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose, We were lucky --since that beautiful dogwood tree was here in our yard when we bought the house. The previous owners did not grow many flowers--but they did have some of my favorite trees (Redbud, Dogwood and Azalea). SO --we got lucky.
ReplyDeleteI do like that lighter shade of dogwood that you have. VERY pretty.
Hugs,
Betsy
Beautiful Rose... I do not think we have 'Dogwoods' here.... unless we call them something else... I do not mind seeing these each year... it the same with many blooms isn't it.... we look forward to them each year.
ReplyDeleteI wish this variety of dogwood could grow here. It's such a lovely colour.
ReplyDeleteToadshade? Hmmm. I'm going to look that one up. ;-)
Aha! I checked toadshade out and it's the same plant I call toad trillium. ;-) You have them growing in your yard? That's very cool, Rose!
ReplyDeleteI think that light shade of pink is beautiful! I like the darker ones too and have been seeing a lot of those. This is more unusual. I only have white ones.
ReplyDeleteNever tired of seeing dogwoods blooming. Ours are mostly spent by now.
ReplyDeleteI think this pink dogwood color is beautiful. There are lots of colors of pink out there now days.
ReplyDeleteHaving trouble finding tomato plants? So are we. Actually still don't have but one.
