I agree that the cropped version of the barn emphasizes the angles and textures more than the entire barn which we then accept as a whole. Both work okay, but the first one seems the stronger of the two.
I like the closeup view too, though the other shows how the barn looks from a distance. I don't think there are any barns around here that look like that...but I suspect I haven't seen ALL the barns yet. LOL Nice post!
Thank you for visiting my blog...I hope you like it enough to take the time to comment. I enjoy comments so much, and always try to make a return visit.
Oh, I love both pictures!

ReplyDeleteI posted my comment on yesterday's post, Rose. HA HA ... (I did delete it!)
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures of the barns. The cropped one is my fav. Everytime I see an old barn, I think of YOU.
How's the precious one???
Hugs,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteI love the peeling paint! I seem to like the ones with at least a little paint peeling.
ReplyDeleteI also like the close-up better. Betsy is definitely right about at least one of you mentioning you when we see an old barn. Do your ears often burn?
ReplyDeleteRose: Really neat barn.
