Bean Blossom Bridge

This is probably the smallest covered bridge we have ever been through...we came across it on our way home...our round about way home of course. Bean Blossom, Indiana is the home of the longest running bluegrass festival.

  1. Hi Rose, the bridge is very cool - I love it, but it looks like it just drops off on the other side! hehehe That sign on it is really nice, too. I don't remember ever seeing any covered bridges around here - If there were, I'd love them as much as I do old barns - there's just so much history in them!

  2. Hi Rose...
I have had a busy few days with the grand children and not done any visiting.... so I stop by to see the post you mention on my blog.. I've not seen that yet... as this bridge caught my fancy. I have become a big fan of these and the barns, and water towers I see on the blogs... I also like a bit of Blue Grass and love a good Banjo Player.. I had to go right to google and came up with this. Bean Blossom Bridge

  3. This is such a pretty covered bridge. I hope the community takes good care of it so it stays around for a long, long time.

I've been away from my computer for a few days so now I'm trying to catch up!

  6. Oh Rose, I love covered bridges --and that is one of the 'cutest'.... I'll bet that was a big surprise for you.

Love that name: Bean Blossom, Indiana.. Wouldn't it be neat to have that as your hometown?????

    Hugs,

  8. Two fine shots of this remarkably small bridge. It has a nice quaint feel about it that I like. Nice one.

  9. When I was a kid in Ohio, we went to Spring Mill State Park every summer to camp. Then as a young woman, I moved to Chicago and had to drive through Indiana to get to my grandparents who were still in Dayton. I have long thought Indiana to be a very pretty place and your pictures do it justice all the time.

  10. What a lovely bridge. If you can find it, you should read the book "Bean Blossom Dreams. by Sallyann Murphey. It's delightful!

  12. Covered bridges are such fun to see. Great shots. Every year I think about going to the covered bridge festival in Parke County, but somehow other things intrude. Is it over for this year?
