Although we often think of the Amish as leading a simple life, I think it is a busy one. Something about this photo, taken the other day says busy, busy, busy.
Almost every Amish farm we passed had their washing out on the line. Everything about their places was as neat as a pin.
As for me, Lorelei is waiting to see me, so I am heading to her house here shortly.
I admire the Amish for their beautiful farms and meticulous looking homes. This is a fine picture of this great looking farmyard. The silo looks to be in such good shape - a rarity these days. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteI agree w/ Don, but would also like to add that I admire the Amish for their work ethics - They are busy busy busy & their kids don't talk back to them & they aren't spoiled, etc. We could take lessons from them, if only we'd pay attention!
ReplyDeleteOh--I'm so happy you got to see Lorelei today!!!! I know you miss seeing her as much as you did for awhile. You'll have to post more pictures.
ReplyDeleteThe Amish farm picture is gorgeous. I always have admired them --and I know that they work very hard. WE could learn from them, couldn't we????
Have a great Thanksgiving. We'll be gone for a few days doing some hiking and waterfalling... We have to work off all of that turkey!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
The Amish in our area had their laundry flying on the lines this week too...don't you love seeing that! The Amish farm in your picture looks very much like the farms in our area, no frills just neat and tidy! Enjoy your time with sweet Lorelei, I know you miss having her with you!
ReplyDeleteI would guess the Amish have a very hard working life. For some reason I can't click on the comment spot on the post above. I know how thankful you are for Lorelei so it was perfect to see this morning :-) Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful neat farm, and make me a little nostalgic. But I'm still glad for a washing machine!!
