Today we decided to hit the road again...the sun was shining , the sky was blue...what more could you ask for? The fact that Roger feels like getting out is a blessing in itself. To have a second day of sunshine was wonderful.
We headed to Parke County and headed down some back roads we have been on before, but at a different time of year. I have shown this barn before...taken in the summer. I still wanted to stop and take a couple...I didn't notice what was in the hallway of the barn till I zoomed in. This is not a good picture, but it still makes me smile!

I don't back up my files as often as I should, and decided the other day that I would back them up. I set it to back up on this external storage thing I have, and we left. I did not check when I got home other than it said it was done...I just disconnected it and put it away. When I got today's photos downloaded, I was going to quick back them up. I discovered that there had not been enough room on the other thing to back them all up.
I ran to Walmart and picked up an external hard drive and backed everything up on it. I have 48 gigabytes of photos alone! I just decided to let it back up and stayed off the computer while it was doing it. It was after 11:00 p.m. before it was done, then I had to re-size photos for here. And while I was at it, I just resized all the ones I thought I might use.
Don't I lead an exciting life?
An exciting life, indeed, Rose. And don't say this isn't a good picture, 'cause it's a wonderful picture...A great old barn and looks like the loft is still used to store hay. Did the goat scare you?
ReplyDeleteHe's not a gate-keeper, he's a goat-keeper!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
I know goats are agile, but how did he get up there? I hate to think how many gigabytes of photos I have!
ReplyDeleteNeat barn and silly goat. Our goats love to leap up on anything that is higher than the ground. And that includes anyones back. It does make of an interesting picture though. MB
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha how cute! Whata sweet surprise--I used to raise goats!
ReplyDeleteSome aspects of your life sound a bit like mine!
ReplyDeleteRose: What a neat surprise and a great looking barn.
ReplyDeleteI like the texture and color of the wood on the old barn. The sag it has adds to its character and helps it make an impression. I laughed at the goat. Nice thing to spot later. I'm glad you backed everything up...it pays to be sure. Nice shots today.
ReplyDeletethat's a bit startling!
ReplyDeleteHi Rose, Glad you all got out on a gorgeous day. Glad Roger is better!!!! The barn picture is great --but how in the world did that goat get up there?????? How funny!!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are getting your photos and files all backed up. That is SO important.
Have a great week.
Hugs,
Betsy
What a great surprise to find in your viewfinder. Goats love to get up high whenever possible or maybe he likes to have his photo taken.
ReplyDeleteBacking up files can be time consuming but it is worth the effort.

I love old barns too...They have so much character don't they?
ReplyDeleteI keep an external hard drive hook up to my computer at all times...All my pictures and any documents that I have are stored in there. I have a folder link on my desktop that is mine so when I go to post a photo I just go to that link. My daughter has one also. If my computer were to crash we won't lose any photos or documents. My computer whiz son told us about this.
I'm glad Roger is getting out a bit. The sunshine is a bonus!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this barn. I took some barn photos yesterday too...but some didn't turn out too well as it was a little foggy most of the day. Today's a bright day and I have work to do. How fair is that?
I had to click to see the goat in there! Well hidden! I have an external hard drive for my photos and have almost filled it. I really need to get rid of many of them. How many photos does a person need of any one bird?? Some that I once thought were good only look so-so now. Time to weed many of them out and make room for new stuff. I try to keep them backed up, but get about a month behind.
