The last of my Attica houses....

This one may not be quite as unique as the others...but look at the trim! And click and enlarge and look at the window treatment of the door and the door on the second floor.
I know it is kind of hard to see with the reflections, but you can still feel the care that is taken with this house.

I still want to go back and take some more photos...we got up there later than we should have with me taking the detour to go by the big orchard up that way. I still would like to go back to it again....I would love to see it in full bloom just one time in my life. Normally the different varieties bloom a few days apart.

In the 19 seasons I worked at the local orchard, popcorn bloom only happened one time. So it is a very rare occurrence.

Beautiful pictures, Rose, of that home.... That is just so unique and interesting. I can tell that that house is loved.

Hope you do get back to the orchard to see those blooms.
Hugs,
Betsy

I would love to go in these houses that you are posting about. Each one has it's own beauty.

A very distinctive looking home. Love that front treatment of the porch. I don't believe I know what popcorn bloom looks like. I hope you're able to get a shot for us.

This is a beautiful old house, Rose. The details are lovely.

I just added two more photos to show you a bit more of the Old Stone Jail. It was difficult to get very far back to get better photos without stepping onto private property of walking through walls like Superman. :)

A funny thing happened. (Well, it's funny now, but wasn't when I first did it!) I was adding the two photos and...I deleted the whole post. I have no idea how that happened. So I had to reload the photos and write about it all over again! Live & Learn!

I must have missed something, so I came stampeding over here to ask: What's popcorn bloom???

Attica must have several beautiful homes. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
I hope you can get some pictures of the orchard in bloom.

Rose: That is intricate work on the porch. They couldn't do it today.

Your photos are superb. A grand old house. I think whoever lives there has taste and a penchant for elegance!

I do love the trim on that one! I wish everyone would do their best to save and keep up nice old houses like this!
