The lawn looks as if someone takes care of it...but otherwise it looks lonesome to me.

I saw the following on another blog, and someone had sent it to her in an email....I told her I just had to put it in one of my posts, but forgot till today. This made me laugh out loud....
With time, women gain weight because we accumulate so much information and wisdom in our heads that when there is no more room, it distributes out to the rest of our bodies. So we aren't heavy, we are enormously cultured, educated and happy.
Beginning today, when I look at my butt in the mirror I will think, "Good grief, look how smart I am!".

When I read it to Roger, I told him I must be a genius!
I don't know what they are, either. But it makes me want to throw a frisbee...
ReplyDeleteIt may be a very poor congregation that can't afford to paint the building. I don't think those corner things have any religious significance, but I, also, have no idea what they are about.
ReplyDeleteLove your story/joke!
Ha Ha Rose..... I am beyond a genius!!!!! Love it....
ReplyDeleteCute little church--which looks sorta lonely... Maybe it needs a congregation. My Mom used to live in a little home in VA --and there was a little church (now a black congregation in town) on the street behind her. The church looked alot like the one in your picture. Mom loved to sit on her porch and hear the black congregation singing the old hymns on Wed. nights...
Hugs,
Betsy
Very neat church! I guess those corner things are just decoration. It has nice windows, too. I'm glad to know that I'm a genius, too. I always suspected it :-)

ReplyDeleteYou hear about the woman that got up one morning, looked in the mirror and said "I'm old, fat, and ugly" then she said to her husband "I need a compliment" to which he said "Your eyesight is almost perfect". :) They buried him the next day. :)
ReplyDeletePretty little church, and maybe they are getting it ready to paint. Hope so!
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty little church. I do hope it gets a coat of paint just to protect it. At least the grounds are taken care of. I like old churches and try to find any history about them. Sometimes just googling the name some info will come up. MB
ReplyDeleteYour blocks for the baby quilt are very happy looking. I am sure a baby will enjoy looking at them. MB
Love the joke, Rose!
ReplyDeleteToo bad the paint is peeling on the church. I'm thinking the church is not still in use, that the congregation has merged with another, but that someone still has fond memories of this one.
I also enjoyed the explanation of why women get heavier as they get older. It sounds reasonable to me.
ReplyDeleteI like the old church.
I love old churches like that!
ReplyDeleteHaha. I think there are lots of smart women in this world.
I love to see old churches along the road, great shot!
