Morning glories

Someone fixed a spot of beauty in their yard...morning glories.

Down home when I was a kid, they grew everywhere...and a lot of years, if not all years, mom also had them growing at the end of the front porch. I don't know if she planted them or if they just came up.

I don't know if it is still the same way now, but they were always in our garden and in the tobacco patches. They just seemed to want to grow everywhere. At least they are pretty...and hummingbirds like them.

  2. They are just so lovely, we had them in the house I grew up in, they grew up the side of the brick wall. For some reason, I don't think we see as many as years ago.

  3. What a beautiful scene. I love them but they spread so quickly to places I don't want them to be. We had them at our last house and I fought them constantly.

  4. That is gorgeous. I love morning glories....except when I had to hoe them out of the garden. :)

  8. My Mom not only planted them at the end of the porch, she put up strings from the porch to the roof so they could climb up and make a "wall" of morning glories. They were beautiful!

  11. This is how I'd have them - all by themselves. :)
I think this is a pretty way to show their beauty.
I like them but they can cover everything else in a blink of the eye.
