From a couple years ago...but with any luck, we might see some snow in the next couple of days. I am hoping the forecast is right...we are predicted to get 2-3 inches in our area. It has felt so strange to not have had a snow by now....something more than just a skim.
I spent 4 or 5 hours cutting fabric today....I am close to have enough strips cut to do the center part of the quilt. I got all the lights cut to length today...and got most of the 2 inch strips cut from the darks, plus as I cut them, I also cut one of the lengths. Hopefully will get them cut to length in the next day or two. I have to cut both the each one into 8 different lengths....so it is time consuming.
I like the snowy scene. We haven't had more than a few flakes here either except for the mountain tops. Hope you get your snowfall, maybe we will see some too before the winter is over.
ReplyDeleteKeep us posted about your weather, Rose. I hope you rested well after working so hard on the quilt strips yesterday. Have a good day.
ReplyDeletehappy cutting today and hope you get lots of pretty flakes falling
ReplyDeleteI like the perspective of this photo. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI heard we're supposed to be getting snow back home...I can't wait to see your quilt when it's all done.
ReplyDeleteI like how you framed this shot with the bridge structure. We have the possibility for an inch or two this coming weekend. We've had such a warm winter, I'll believe it when it's snowing! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had but a skim to. I would just as soon skip winter if we're not going to have snow. :)
ReplyDeleteThey say we cold get 2-4 inches. I think this is probably the same storm coming your way.
I want the snow but hope it isn't bad - little Sammy is supposed to be coming for a visit.
The weather report last night said we would get up to two inches of snow today. So far we've only had rain.
ReplyDeleteI can do without the snow. It has been spitting snow here today and soooooo windy! Feels terrible when you go out. The birds are so hungry! You are really working on that quilt. Looking forward to photos :-) Would you believe I started a different project today??? I really need to finish a few and start fewer.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful and nostalgic picture. I want to go down that road, when it's a bit dryer!
ReplyDeleteI like this shot looking out from under the bridge.
ReplyDeleteGood job getting so many strips ready for your next quilt. It sounds like a BIG job.
Yes, it has been a strange year, I think we may get our first real snow tomorrow.
It's gotten cold here and we have an inch of snow on the ground now... Don't know how much more we will get.... It's so pretty...
ReplyDeleteThis kind of weather is perfect for quilting, don't you think?????
Hugs,
Betsy
beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteI recognize that place. :) That is very pretty. Too bad all the power lines are in the picture.
