The way....

This is what the roads looked like north of here...we had just come up this road. I stopped to take photos of cattle, and old farm house, and could not resist shooting the road.

We ened up in Covington, a small town north of us about 30 or 40 miles...we ate at a little restaurant there, and went in a couple antique shops just to look. I always like looking at old things...some of them bring back memories for me....while a lot are older than that.

In both shops we stopped at, we talked to the owners...had fun visiting with them.

  2. Do you all have 4-wheel drive? I'll bet you do.. We don't ---so when it snows, we don't go anywhere if we don't have to...

Great photos... Love seeing the snow. Glad you had a good time in Covington.

  6. I like your high view of the road. The power line poles add to the perspective of the road and the rows in the field. The town looks very interesting too. It's always fun to drop into a different place and check out their local coffee places or restaurants.

  8. The road sure looks pretty covered in snow. I think snow improves the looks of winter's drab brown.

  9. You have a heavy dusting of snow. We're expecting more winter weather during the overnight. An additional 4-6 inches of snow is in the forecast. Covington looks like a nice town.

  10. I like your snowy pictures, especially of the road. I don't think I've ever been to Covington, but it reminds me of several small Indiana towns I have visited.

  14. I love small towns with antique stores. It's been awhile since I've been to browse in an antique store....must do that soon now that you have made me think about it :-) Love the road shot! You have snow on the ground...none here.

  15. Lovely snowy road scene! I sure wouldn't have minded having one small snow this winter! Oh well! :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by piece-fulness to see the Quilt Show! I am glad Mary told you about it, and glad that you often check that quilting blog (which hasn't had much on it in the past few months!)
