I wondered if anyone could help me identify the flowers below.
My daughter found them growing along the road on the west coast...said they were all along the highway. I have literally spent hours looking for it on-line and am not having any luck. What's more, I feel like I should know what it is.
The other night at the strip pits I saw my usually little group of deer. I assume it is the same little group....I can always depend on seeing them near this one pond.
And this was the sunset...
Pretty little wildflower --but I have no idea what it is.. Maybe some of the west coast bloggers will know.
ReplyDeleteLove that sunset... WOW!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
What a gorgeous sunset!!! Wish I could help with the flowers, but I have never seen any like them...now I want to know! Please tell us if anyone identifies them.
ReplyDeletei am no help at all with identifying flowers or trees or plants. it is pretty and maybe a weed. did you look under weeds? the sunset is magifico!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset shot. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAn interesting variety today. It's a beautiful, distinctive looking flower with those lines in the petals. The deer are always good subjects. That sunset is such a nice smooth look at the sun and the interesting clouds. Nice group.
ReplyDeleteThe deer are pretty and that sunset is breathtaking. No idea what the sweet little flower is.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
I wish I could help you identify the wildflower, but I have no idea what it is -- other than beautiful. Your sunset picture is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I don't know what the wildflower is, but I do know it's pretty! Love all your photos. The sunset is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat wee flower is very pretty but I'm afraid I don't know what it is.
ReplyDeleteLove the shot of your deers - they seem quite happy that you are there.
Beautiful sunset. I couldn't get to this post until I went back a couple posts-don't know why. I left a couple comments for you on my blog where you asked about the Golden and Bald Eagles. Golden Eagles have golden brown heads and are pretty dark colored. Immature Bald Eagles have a lot of whitish color on their bodies and under-wings. If you Google Golden Eagle vs. Bald Eagle, there's a site where a lot of pictures are posted of each of them.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw the flowers I though it might be gaura but no. Gaura has four petals and this has six. Wildflowers west of the Rocky Mountains are often very different from what grows on this side of the mountains.
ReplyDeleteI cannot find it online either. Very frustrating!
I have no idea about the flower! Beautiful photos!
