Another old implement

This is another implement from Patton's Corner...Roger thinks it might have been a plow for digging potatoes and when I google the term for pictures, I think he just might be right.

Still hot here, but not the 100 degrees....and supposed to fall down til the highs are in the low 80's by this weekend. There is a chance for rain starting on Thursday night. At least that is what they are saying right now.

I got almost 4 quarts of tomato juice today...a complete surprise to get that much...but happy to have it.

  1. Some friends of my parents used to make homemade tomato juice. It was delicious. That's an interesting tool you took the photo of.

  2. have not seen one of these old tools. in our family I was the potato digger. we had to gently pull the plant and shake the dirt off to make sure we did not split the potatoes. i thought it was child abuse. LOL

  6. I would agree it's for digging potatoes. (Ok, I'm not really sure, but it was my first thought before I read what Roger thinks it is. )

  7. Wonderful farm implement share. Glad you got some tomato juice! I still have no tomatoes because of this awful heat...the plants are growing very slowly. I know they will just "take off" and start bearing come mid to late September, and I am so looking forward to that!
