Photographs & Memories....

Sometimes blogging becomes a job...or more life interferes and it seems a job...and I think about just taking a break. A long break. But then I will end up looking up something on my blog, or know it is there if I take the time to look. Or, we will click on the label Lorelei Rose, and I realize it is worth so much. We can go back through some of her photos and the little videos and just have a blast listening and seeing how she has changed.

Same with photographs. I will be looking for a particular photograph...and in looking for it, I stir up so many other memories. There are the pictures of the kids...not so many of those are on my computer...but I have, or rather had albums filled with their photos...Sarah took some of them home with her. And that is okay. At least they are cherished.

I always want to photograph things to leave a record of our time. Of how things are now. For future generations. And always I regret not having photographs of how things used to be...so guess I will continue to blog.

Roger had patches put on this week....they were put on on Monday, and he could not get his back wet for 5 days. The doctor took them off Wednesday, and we went back Friday for a final reading. If you could call it that. He had no reaction to anything. So, right now it is just something he is going to have to live with. The breaking out has not gotten real bad in a while...he will just have patches break out here and there, but not the whole body thing. So that is one thing that has been going on this week.

I made little batches of juice twice this week...today I had 3 quarts and 1 pint. The other day I had 2 quarts and 1 pint. Not much, but at least it is some. Last week I got 3 quarts. Every little bit helps.

We were going to get Lorelei this weekend, but will get her later in the week if all goes well.

sorry they did not find out his allergy. really strange. you use your blog for family chronicles which is a great idea.
i do mine only because of my photos, i take them all the time and there is no one to see them but me. the reason for my blog, so i never have a problem with what to post because i am truly a Mad Snapper

I wonder if all of us bloggers feel tired and overwhelmed with the thought of taking, preparing, posting and commenting day after day. I think so probably. I will also continue as long as I can make some kind of picture. I wish Roger all the best with his breaking out problem.

I started blogging for family and close friends, too, but soon discovered such a wonderful group of other bloggers out here in blog land. Just to let you know I do enjoy following along with your sweet little Loreli. :)

Sunday hugs,
Lois

I love to blog, but when you fall behind in commenting by a couple of days - like I have - it is kind of hard to catch up. I still love it though :))
Allergies are a real pain to get to the bottom of - hope Roger isn't suffering to much with them.

How frustrating to not know what's causing the break out!

I know how hard it is to catch up on my blogging. I seem to be doing a lot of it lately. For sure, life can get in the way! :))

I understand about the blogging and how life gets in the way of it. I love it though and will continue to blog when I can. I'm glad you're going to continue! Have a wonderful week!

I took up blogging as a way to share our travels and family photographs with family and friends. I thought it a better way than sending emails to everyone. I didn't consider that those in the blogging world whom I didn't know would be interested in what I write. Nor did I consider how time consuming it is to read and comment on each others' blog posts! I love blogging. I love that I have made new friends in the blogging world (a few of whom I have even met). I do take breaks from blogging from time to time, but miss the interaction. I just can't seem to keep up with everything, and blogging is the first activity that goes on the wayside until I get caught up again.

Reading your post and the comments above I see we all have our different reasons for blogging. I think many of us think about taking a break sometimes too. There are times it starts to feel like a job. But then we remember why we started blogging and all the friends we have made and it renews us.
