Warm yesterday, with cold moving in today...

Yes, Lorelei was able to play outside yesterday with no jacket.  And I am here to tell you, we both enjoyed it.
I think this is her first time of 'climbing' in a tree...I could not tell her no.  I enjoyed it too much as a kid, so figured she might as well start in an easy one.
These are not the best...shot with a point and shoot.  But still, they are a record of her accomplishments.
And this is her idea of fun at night.  I put my feet up in the recliner, and she makes a nest...lots of times, she is on her belly, with her feet almost in my face while she watches a cartoon.
***********
Today started out warm enough till she put on a jacket and we blew bubbles for a while.  But later in the evening, I could just feel the house getting colder.  I had turned the heat way down, so I had to turn it back up.  It is 29ºF as I type, but the wind makes it feel 10 degrees colder...and it just keeps dropping a little at a time.

Not sure what tomorrow will bring...Lorelei may go home but not sure.

  1. When we were coming home we drove through the night and ended up having breakfast in Peoria and it was in the 60's, then we woke up this morning to snow and tomorrow is supposed to be negative. I always loved climbing trees but never went up too far, that's a great tree to start out with.

  2. Sounds like you're having the same kind of weather we are. It was almost 70 but tonight the temps are almost at freezing and we expect some snow. Can't take this back and forth stuff. :)
My girls like a recliner too. Lorelei looks like she's in heaven!

  6. I like her recliner nest :-) Looks very comfortable...for her anyway. Sort of like my cats :-) The minute they see me sit down and get a quilt, I have two cats on top of me for hours, if I let them stay. Climbing trees....good for her! My favorite pastime as a child was climbing in our apple trees. Can't wait until it is this warm for good.

  8. All is right in the our own little world when the children are laughing and playing. I too loved to climb trees as a child and also as a grownup. Grandparenting is fun. MB
