I don't know when I am going to get back to taking photos on a regular basis...not that I don't have some to post.  It is just hard to remember what I have posted and what I have just 'thought' about posting.  I looked back through my posts under the label Patton's Corner and could not find this one...don't you know that some kid was really, really happy to get this when it was new.

I have not touched my quilt today...but the cats have.  I don't know what it is about a quilt that I am working on but they consider it their duty to try them out.  I think Bubbie spent the morning sleeping on it...he was no where to be found and came strolling in from the kitchen...and the stairs to the basement are off the kitchen....

Then I went down there later, and Puss Puss was asleep on it.  She very, very seldom goes down there and stays by herself. But she was sleeping and did not want to move.

We have snow...not a lot....but enough that the snow plows went through.  It won't last.  It is already warming up to above freezing not too far from here.  But the road were really slick according to the local weather.  I am glad I  don't have to get out in it.

  1. Hi Rose, Interesting how cats (and probably dogs too) are attracted to NEW quilts in process... Guess they like the 'new' smell....?????

We have had rain here tonight--but no snow anywhere around... Temps are in the 30's --but above freezing. Hope you don't get ICE now.

    Great photo.... Brings back memories...

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  2. The cats must love the scent of your hands. This toy tractor is nothing like the modern play ones, it looks like a real metal one, only in miniature. Everything today is brightly colored plastic.

  3. I have a little tractor almost like this we pulled from someone's trash. It sat for years in the hallway outside my kids bedroom. I'll have to take a picture sometime. It's too cold at the moment to drag it out of the shed.
We are expecting freezing rain and ice tonight. I'm hoping it won't be too bad.

  5. That is a neat toy. I have some of the same problem looking back through the archives. I often wonder if I've used a shot. Some I prefer to reprocess because I don't like the previous crop.

  6. Oh my! I love the old tractor!

Snow is lot more fun when you don't have to drive anywhere. :))

  7. Great old tractor. Reminds me of growing up on my dad's farm in Illinois and finding abandoned metal toys around the barn. Love that rusty look.

  8. That tractor is great! We had 42 above today, sunny and no wind...great day. But I'm sick again. I thought I was almost over it, then it came back. It's a month ago today that all this started.
