Nothing like sticking your head in the lion's mouth

No, nothing quite like sticking your head in the lion's mouth if you want a drink of water.  This was from a little town over in Illinois...I believe Oakland.  I don't think I have ever seen a water fountain quite like this.

We were to Sarah's for a night...I have a hard time settling down to blogging here once I am interrupted.  Even more so when I don't have anything interesting to tell.  I have been sewing more on the crumb quilt top...I have put one little outer border on but have to decide on one more to make it big as I want it.  Plus it does not look right with just one anyway.

I am hoping to get to do some work on it today...other than that it is too overcast to want to go out for photographs, though heaven knows I need a nice drive.

  2. Cute! Looks like it belongs in a zoo. I bet kids love it. We had a lady in our quilt guild give a talk on borders at the last meeting. It was interesting and I know that I don't do enough with my borders. By the time I finish a quilt top, I just want to slap on a skinny border and a wide border and be done with it. Really need to study more interesting borders and try to use some in the future that would enhance the quilt more.

  4. Cute fountain!
Don't let an overcast day stop you from taking pictures. Some of the nicest pictures I have seen are on overcast days, when the photographer excluded the sky in the photograph.

  6. That is a most unusual water fountain - I don't think I have seen anything like that one before.
I haven't been around the blogging world for a while, stuck between having not much to talk about and no pictures to put up. I really will have to get my act together and get back into it.

  7. What a fun fountain....I bet little kids love drinking from it. I can relate to needing the drive. It feels so good to connect with people who love and understand the need. :)
