I was looking for another photograph, while kind of looking for one to use on here at the same time. I came across this and thought it is just the ticket! Don't you love how things are such a fresh green in the spring?
This is the real deal...no editing done on this other than I did hit the sharpen button but that did not really change it much. I am so longing for shirt sleeve weather.
We did have sun again here today...had sun all day long yesterday, too. I hung towels on the clothesline yesterday and today I hung sheets and a blanket. I don't think it took the sheets two hours to dry. I used 5 or 6 clothespins on each sheet--if I hadn't I think the fitted sheet would have taken flight and left the area.
When I looked out, it had turned itself inside out and the only thing holding it on the line was the clothespins--in other words it was no longer draped OVER the clothesline. I know from experience that two or three will not hold a fitted sheet on when it is windy like it has been. I glanced out last year or the year before to see one hanging by one single clothespin...I considered myself blessed to have seen it in time.
I have been trying to declutter a little bit. I just try to pick up a bit here and there and either trash it or put with stuff I am going to donate. Some days it is only one or two items, others it may be a dozen things. Today one thing I got rid of was a rice cooker. I used to use it fairly often, but it has been years since I used it so out it goes.
What I want to know, does everyone have stuff sitting around that they don't use. I have really gotten rid of a lot of stuff the past year or two and it is not even missed. I cannot help but think I don't want the girls to have a total mess when I die. Besides that, it would be easier on me if I had less to mess with.
LOVE the spring green photo!
ReplyDeleteThe spring green is marvelous. :) So fresh and clean!
ReplyDeleteYou and me both, I can't wait to put away the winter boots :)
ReplyDeleteLove this barn and the GREEN!
Your spring photo is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteI need to get back to the decluttering, too. I have old bills and papers that I know are of no use to us anymore. There are old things I know I don't want. Why do I keep them? I'd hate for my children to have to go through all this stuff, so I'm going to try really hard to go through everything and keep only that which I love or will use!
OH, the gorgeous brilliant greens here! Whenever I clean out things and go to Goodwill and throw out, it never fails that I really need something I just got rid of. I can have something I have not used in 10 years, and when I get rid of it, all of a sudden I need it.
ReplyDeleteOh you are so lucky to get to hang your linens outside on the line.. We can't do that in this area... Darn!!!! I love to smell sheets which have been dried outside...
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here today also --and definitely doesn't feel like Spring. They say it will stay cold for awhile also... SO--guess Spring is not ready to visit us yet.
Hugs,
Betsy
I've been doing some of the same kind of clearing out unused items...this includes old clothes that I find I no longer wear or don't like after all. :-)

ReplyDeleteless to mess with is my motto in life. and i have not hung a sheet on a clothesline in 40 years... yikes.
ReplyDeleteGreen...I see Green....what a welcome sight. Maybe if I Spring clean Spring will actually feel like Spring.
ReplyDeleteOh how I long for Spring green!
ReplyDeleteLove this shot...the green in it makes me long for spring and summer that much more! I guess we will really appreciate it when it gets here. I feel the same way about decluttering! I got almost everything out of the attic earlier this year, but I keep thinking about the boxes of books that are up there...and wondering how I will ever get them down! The basement was pretty cleaned out about a year ago, but now we are starting to put clutter there again. Sigh....it never seems to go away. The garage in on my list for this year!
ReplyDeleteI have been cleaning out things too, Rose. It's absolutely amazing how much stuff we collect!
