Looking for inspiration...

I look at this little cabin and wish it were mine...I would love having a little building as my own studio.  But lately I have been wondering if I had one, would I get anything at all done.  I have been spending a lot of time looking for inspiration, but I don't think I will be satisfied till I can get that last crumb quilt layered and quilted.

We will be in Terre Haute before the week is out, so hoping to find something at Joanne Fabrics to use for a backing.  I am wanting to use flannel...

I am still going to therapy....twice a week.  I do the exercises twice a day, and now I have so many to do it takes about an hour to do them each time...give or take a minute or two.  The one movement that is so slow to come is putting my hand behind my back.  Otherwise I have really, really improved.

Roger had surgery last week to remove a ganglion cyst right at the base of his left hand.  When the doctor got in there he found this Giant Cell cyst/tumor...can't recall now whether he called it a tumor or a cyst.  Anyway, he said they are always benign, but sent it to be checked just to make sure.  Said it was a good thing he found it.

  1. What a cute cabin. That stuccoed filler adds to the interest and does the chimney. Neat one!

  3. What a great looking little cabin! I'd love to have this setting on a few acres in the country, overlooking a small lake with lots of trees and....I love to dream!

  4. Cute little cabin... I'd love one too..

Hope you get your quilt backing --so that you can get it finished, which I know you want to do.

Is the therapy helping your shoulder? Hope so... Hope Roger's cyst doesn't turn out to be cancerous... Glad it is usually benign. Both of you are in my prayers.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  10. What a cute little cabin. I'm sure you will find a nice flannel to use and get that quilt done. I've been dragging my feet on my quilting, too. Maybe it is the weather? Glad the therapy is working and hope the shoulder if better soon! Hang in there!

  12. I'm glad you are gaining strength and that Roger discovered a problem in his wrist before it got BAD!

With all that time spent exercising, I'm not surprised you are looking for inspiration. The therapy is sapping your energy...but it will be so worth it!

  16. Wouldn't it be nice to have a special place to call all your own just to do crafts, sewing or just contemplating STUFF. I always wanted a turret on top of the house where the lighting would be good and I could stay up there. HAha!

I am glad you are improving--always welcome.

I had a g. cyst on my thumb and the doc said for me to just leave it alone and it 'might' go away. It did but it comes back now and then. Just a lump not very big. So it goes. MB
