A little slow posting...

I don't know why, but just forgot about posting last night...till late.  And by then couldn't choose what to post.  Then this morn was looking for something to post, and was a bit before I remembered these butterflies.  There were several of them out at the strip pits...when I would get out to take a photo, and disturb them, it was a strange but good feeling to be standing in the middle of a bunch of butterflies dancing on the air.

This is just a cropped portion of the first photo above...I just liked the close-up view.  You can click on it for a larger view.  Other than these, the only butterflies we saw on that trip was one little pearl crescent that would not sit still for me and one tiger swallowtail.

In my flowers, the other day I had a red admiral and a fritillary...both had wings that were worse for wear.  That was the reason I did not take any shots of them...the bumblebees have claimed the cone flowers as their own.  At any time we can see 5 or 6 of them on the flowers.  And yesterday saw a hummingbird moth...but it seemed to only pass through.  There and gone before I could much more than have the thought to get my camera.

Our DirecTv is now installed...so far, so good.  Really liked the kid who installed it.  Felt like he really knew what he was doing.

I don't know why, but change really bothers me.  Makes me a nervous wreck.  I could not do anything yesterday till that was done and over with, so I didn't accomplish a thing.  It was around 5:00 when he got here....so by the time they left, the day was done.

It is looking like rain...Roger is mowing....again.  I need to get off here and get busy with something.  It is just a matter of deciding what I want to do first.

The butterflies have such a unique color. Fine close up shots which are very revealing in the larger view.

Love your Butterfly photos! I haven't seen many yet, but my back flowerbed is in full bloom now, so maybe...
Also, I know what you mean about sitting at these computers: Don't get much else accomplished!

Hope you like your DirecTV... We have had such good luck with ours.

Looks like rain here too.. We are supposed to get some late this afternoon... It rained yesterday afternoon --most all afternoon.

Cute little butterflies. I've seen them around here too.

Hugs,
Betsy

We are considering getting Direct T.V. back, so please let me know what you think of it! Did they give you a set price for a certain amount of time? They also said you can tape stuff from the past? That would be awesome! I love these butterflies, have never seen so many so close together. What were they doing? The first picture, until you look close, they almost look like pear tree petals!

I am always distracted when workers are in my house. I get next to nothing done. Friday the plumbers are coming to do some work. Fortunately, their appointment is a 8am and the job won't take long. The rest of the day should be calm.

Haven't seen many butterflies here yet, maybe they all melted in the heat. LOL!

I know what you mean about being a nervous wreck when having things done and they always wait till the day is almost over with so I am a wreck all day and then some.

I had a day last fall where I was bombarded with butterflies...they were on my house, the driveway, the trees, the fence.....and on ME! I loved it!!! Your white butterflies are wonderful!

I hate change too. I would have been the same...waiting for them to come and waiting for them to get through so I could get on with living!

I'm always taken surprise when I see such delicate-looking butterflies sipping moisture from the soil. Seems strange to me. They make an interesting photo!
