We went on a drive...took the backroads to Bridgeton, Indiana and on to Mansfield.
Even though it was bitter cold, Roger cast around a few times below the dam a few times. Did not get a single hit. The fish were probably frozen too!

I started getting this ready to post last night but did not finish. It looks to be another day about the same as the past two. There is just another light skim of snow. Up where we went yesterday had had more snow than here...I think they had had at least two or three inches.

The house sparrows come in flocks....it is sometimes hard for other birds to get anything. Then it will go a spell with not a single one out there. I suppose they go visit other feeders at that time.
Not sure what this day is going to hold...I suppose I best get off here and get ready for it. I still have the ham to get...and presents to wrap.
LOVE that first photo of the covered bridge. Nicely composed! And Roger is fishing in some pretty chilly circumstances! Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteThat top photo would make a beautiful Christmas card. Jim and I have been terrible sick the last couple of days not really able to do much other than sit and read blogs. I wanted to get out when the snow was falling and would love to get out today but I'm still not feeling up to par.
ReplyDeleteRose, that first photo is totally AWESOME! I love it, the composition is incredible. wow... like that fishing fellow to
ReplyDeleteA fine picture of that picturesque covered bridge and the falls. That was worth the slick risk on the icy roads.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful shots, Rose. It looks cold, but so pretty. Neat shot of the fisherman!
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else your first picture is really lovely. I really like these covered bridges, we saw quite a few while we were on holidy.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a covered bridge like this! It has steps to go down and a waterfall at the bottom
ReplyDeleteThat really is a beautiful bridge and you did a great job with the shot.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL photo of the covered bridge...wow....and I agree the fish were probably frozen but you gotta give your husband credit with trying...BRRRR:)
ReplyDeleteLove the pics you post of the covered bridges. Usually the colder the water, the more active the fish...We've been fishing in sub zero weather and caught a few steelheads....Oh YUM!!
ReplyDeleteI very much like the photo of Roger and the waterfall!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering who that hardy guy might be who was fishing in the freezing cold weather--then to find out that he belonged to you. How funny! Gosh that looks cold.
