Random 5 Friday...
Just something brighten your day.
It's time for Random 5 Friday again and I have only got a couple ahead of time.
1. I love the way the words circadian rhythm falls off the tongue. I think Circadian Rhythm would make a wonderful title for a book.
****I can never just spell rhythem. Not any more. Just in the past year or two I have noticed any time I spell it, I usually spell it wrong the first time around
2. I LOVE google earth. I just have to say that every now and then. I can spend hours on there looking at other places....but sometimes in just looking at the area around here. Sometimes trying to find a certain place to place a few of my photos. (You can see the few I have on there HERE.)
3. Sometimes for a late night snack, I bake a small pan of cornbread...sometimes I will have something with it and sometimes I just have it hot and fresh from the oven.
4. I am loving our new Roku 3....it is faster than trying to watch Netflix or Youtube through the Blu-ray player. I never had any problems with Netflix on the Blu-ray player other than it was a slow process to get it started and to search for something, but Youtube videos were most often hanging up, not loading, etc.
5. I am really wanting to see the second season of Bletchley Circle....I don't care if it is on PBS or if Netflix would get the DVDs. I just really am anxious to see it.
That is my Random 5...now what are yours.
edited to add: I think I have the words spelled right now! LOL I guess it was too late at night for me to be typing this. I guess I had stayed up too late the night before to be thinking straight last night.!

Thanks for the sunny color in the grey winter morning :-)
ReplyDeleteI like you random 5---you have interesting stories to tell and you tell them in an interesting way. There is a difference you know.
ReplyDeleteYellow looks so wonderful on a grey gray day .
I like Google earth too. I look where I used to live and really whatever I want.
Do you ever Geo-cache? MB
I too like using Google Earth!!! And there are many words besides rhythm that is difficult to spell...AND type!!
ReplyDeleteCircadium Rhythem does roll off your tonque.
ReplyDeleteCornbread fresh from the oven oh now I am hungry:)
I love Netflix especially these cold cold days. B
We just have Dish for our TV -- out where we live, we're lucky to get that! :)
ReplyDeleteGoogle Earth can be fascinating. I like exploring the neighbourhoods where I once lived. ;))
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to look at google earth. My husband and I both enjoy that. I love your pretty daylily. Nice to see a pop of color on this cold a.m.
ReplyDeletei love cornbread ! I made some last week and had it with some homemade fruit preserves / you have me thinking about making it again now! :)
ReplyDeleteOh... I LOVE Google Earth too. Makes me feel like a fly on the wall sometimes.... LOL
ReplyDeletei will have to check out the "Bletchley Circle" i love a good show. happy weekend. ( :
ReplyDeleteAlthough I like the sound of the words "circadian rhythm", I am always slightly reminded of the cicada. Makes me think of our bodies cycling in time to the bugs chirping.
ReplyDeleteWe had terrible problems with Netflix. More than half the time the DVD's were bad and their streaming was limited. We switched to Amazon Prime, very happy!
ReplyDeleteYour bright lily was a great way to say good morning! I don't Netflix. Circadian rhythm does have a certain ring to it! Google Earth is fun.
ReplyDeleteDid you say Cornbread???
ReplyDeleteYum!
My favorite.
I learned to love it from my grandfather . . .
oooh . . . . ummmm, lovely thoughts.
Happy Friday!
Visiting on R5F. I understand completely your comments on Google Earth. I used to do the same with the old Terraserver, and Landsat stuff you could access on line.
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about Roku, but I do love our new BluRay player. It does all sorts of cool things (my son is already better at driving it than either DH or I...kids these days!)

I love cornbread but rarely make it. Now I'm feeling the urge to bake.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous bloom!!
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful bright flower! So nice to see on this snowy morning.
ReplyDeleteYour bright blossoms helps my overcast day look better when I look out. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI love Google earth too, it's a wonderful invention and makes the world smaller for us !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful greeting from your flower!
ReplyDeleteI am on the cheapest WOW cable plan, so there are many channels missing..which is fine too :-)
That is gorgeous..
ReplyDeleteThere are so many things I want to spend time on: YouTube, Google Earth. But then when I have a little time, I don't do it. I wonder what gives?
ReplyDeletePS: I can't spell rythm either. HA! rhythm?
LOL
ReplyDeleteI like Google Earth too!
I often look up the neighborhood where I grew up ... boy has it changed!

I visited your Panoramio. I can't say I understand it but I created an account. Will have to go from there. I really enjoyed your photos. Thank you for teaching me something new today!
ReplyDeleteI like that--cornbread for a snack! We love cornbread with a little sweetness to it. My husband is usually the one to make it. I'll have to suggest to him that it can be eaten as a snack. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your cheery yellow lily! Google Earth is fun, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
Hi Rose ~~ You have a nice Random 5 today.
ReplyDeleteOn spelling, my computer has a mind of its own. It changed itself a month or so ago to do spell check on its own. It will fix spelling as I type unless it has a choice of correct words. Then it underlines in RED and I (it just capitalized the "I" for me here) right click to see what options I have.
I like to drive with Google Earth. Just click on the street arrows. If you want to turn a corner go to the top and adjust the view wheel to the right or left. It won't go up to a front door or do driveways. It has to follow the road.
Bletchley Circle, I watched. I watched it because we visited Bletchley Park in Britain last year. We got to see the real computer he ladies worked on and they had on working that did the decoding of the German subs' messages.
Lastly, you are lucky to be a lady. I couldn't make corn bread so I have to make peanut butter and soda crackers.
Thank you for your visit today and for your nice comment.
..
visiting via Nancy and that pan of cornbread sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteI loved the first season of Bletchley Circle. I didn't know another season is out. Or coming. I'll be looking for it!
