Snow on the way

According to the weatherman, more snow is on the way.  It should start snowing tomorrow and by the time it is over, we could have up to 8 inches. We had at least 3 inches of snow when we got up yesterday morn.  That after it raining ALL. DAY. LONG. on Saturday.  The main roads cleared off quickly, but the side roads were still a mess this morn when we headed to Terre Haute to go get my new glasses.

And when we got to the mall, the parking lot was mostly a sheet of ice.  Talk about walking with care...I really tried to be careful.  We made it in safely and by the time we came out, it had turned to slush.

Speaking of icy, Sarah said she almost fell when she was getting in her truck....she said Lorelei about died laughing!

I think I am finally beginning to get back in the groove and feel like sewing again.  Almost afraid to say that.  Something is apt to happen to throw my off track again.  But it does feel good to be spending time in front of my sewing machine again.

  1. the snow can't seem to stop where it is not needed and will not start where it is needed. CA needs water in any form it can get it...

  2. I like your snowy shot. We have minus 5 degrees this morning. So I guess Spring will have to wait in the wings for just a bit longer.

  3. 8 inches?! When we get an inch, it stops everything.

  6. You all are getting much more snow than we are. We have had almost none this winter.. (I love snow--and would love to have a little. Sigh!)

Be careful on the ice. We had some ice yesterday morning...

Foggy morning here on the Cumberland Plateau today. Have a wonderful day.

  7. Be careful on the ice! We've been getting snow all day. They're saying as much as 10 inches, maybe more. Yuck! It's better than ice, tho, which we had Saturday morning. Thankfully, it wasn't too thick and didn't cause power outages.
Enjoy your new glasses and hope you get started sewing again!

  8. Be safe. We are supposed to get some snow tonight but I don't think it's going to be much, at least I hope not.

  9. That snowy image is a good one. I don't envy you that amount of snow. We've only had about three inches and now the low temperatures have arrived along with a strong breeze making the chill temperatures dangerous. Oh, well we've had it easy compared to most of the central area.

  10. We got 5.5" yesterday and no, it isn't even pretty to look at! I'm feeling grouchy about it. But hey! Sewing is good for you and I'm happy to hear that you're reading to be get back into it. That's a nice feeling.

  11. The eight inches we got Sunday night began to melt today but the temps aren't warming like they thought so we had some sleet and a few light flurries today.
Glad you enjoy sewing Rose. I'm sure it's a good way to help get over cabin fever that always hits this time of year.
