The Color Purple

Every year I LOVE these tulips....they look like velvet.  And I never get what I consider a superb shot....usually the sun is too harsh or they have fallen all over and just no way to get a good shot.


And they are not purple I have--you would think purple was my favorite color.  It isn't...it just happens I have a lot of purple.


There is also this purple iris, and I have a couple more that I have not photographed yet.  Besides the irises not photographed, I didn't take any of my lilac.


 Today I also took these of the wisteria!

    Wow! Stunning! I just love purple iris's. I have a ton of purple in my yard too.

    The wisteria are beautiful and soft. The iris...the color is gorgeous, like deep purple silk. The iris are out here, too.

    Do all deep purple Iris smell like grapes? MMMMM
    And don't Wisteria blossoms look like pea blossoms. YES!!

    Purple is a wonderful colour to have in a garden. It looks so great with most other colours.

    Such wonderful shades of purple. Iris is one my favourite flowers but will be weeks before they bloom here.

    The second close up of the tulips is an excellent shot in my thinking. The others are very pretty. They make a very good post.

    Gorgeous blooms! Purple is a favorite color of mine, but I don't seem to have many clothes with purple in them. Not sure why.

    That's wisteria! I don't remember ever knowing what it looked like. My lilac bush only got a few bunches on it this year. We're hearing that our frost this past winter has done a lot of damage as it hadn't been so deep (roughly 25") since the 1940s.
