Two versions of the same photo...

I got to playing around with this...I like the color version okay..
then I got to playing with it in B&W, and now I don't know which I like the best.

***********
Tootie only stayed the weekend.  We went to pick her up...we meet half way at this gas station/mini mart.  It is 40 miles from our house and 40 miles from Sarah's.  So though not a bad drive, it is not like it is 20 minutes away.

When we got there, Sarah was there waiting.  We could see Lorelei jumping up and down in the truck, but not getting out.  So we get out and walk up there and open the door and there she is with her Kitty Soft Paws/ Pearl, her kitty.  She came out the door as they were leaving so Sarah just threw her in the back with Lorelei and she did fine.

I picked her up, and held her a minute but she wanted down to go back to Lo.  Lorelei said she stood on her lap part of the time coming and watched out the window.  And later Sarah said that she got in Lorelei's booster seat and slept all the way home.  I cannot imagine having a cat that travels well.

  2. I think I like the color shot best.
It looks like that kitty has found a forever home. She sure loves Lorelei. MB

  3. My late Lily loved traveling. She liked to ride around the neighborhood on my shoulders - not too safe, but I would put her in the car and just drive around the neighborhood so she could see. I took her with me to Tennessee to visit my parents and even took her camping. She was something else. I used to joke that she understood the theory of relativity.

  4. Both shots are very effective in two different ways. I like the color shot for the way it also conveys the time of day. The black and white has a graphic quality that I like. I too can't imagine a traveling cat!!!

  5. I like the black and white pic. Very old time.
How odd that a cat likes to travel! Soon Lorelei will have to get a leash for her!

  6. I have heard cats travel well if you start them young enough. Lorelei sure has found a great pal!

  7. That's so interesting that a cat likes to ride in a car, I don't ever remember ever meeting any that did before. Enjoy sweet Lorelei :) and those photos are great, can't choose which I like best as I love both color and black and white.

  8. Hi Rose, I love both photos --but my choice (since I love colors) would be the first one.

Never heard of a cat who likes riding in a car/truck.... Guess Pearl's love to Lo and vice versa wants to keep them together...

    Have a great day..

  9. I like thecolorshot better. The light is golden and beautiful and you don't see that in black and white. :)

  10. I, too, like the color version best. The golden color is amazing!

I can just picture Lorelei's kitty standing on her lap in the truck, watching the world go by. I wonder who's happier - Lorelei or the kitty? :D They seem like a perfect match for each other.

  12. Both photos are very nice. I would pick the first because of the golden light. Beautiful! When daughter was in high school, she had a cat that rode with us in the car. Glad you got some Lorelei time.
