A girl and her kitty

Sarah sent me this a few nights ago...
and followed it with this one an hour or two later....

*************
Not much has been going on since I last posted...we decided on the spur of the moment to go to Sarah's the last Sunday of July.  Our anniversary was a couple days later, but that Sunday was a good day for them to take us out to eat.  It was also the last weekend before Lorelei started school.  We got to play with Kitty Soft Paws and fell in love with her, too.

I wish I had gotten some pics of her but she was just always busy.  She is the cutest, funniest little kitty ever.  So very petite.  Her tail is the longest tail compared to body of any cat I have ever seen.  And I have seen a lot of cats.  It is also fluffy like a bottle brush...reminds people of a lemur.  Her face is tiny, but she has great big ears with long fur that comes out of them.

I want to encourage you to click on these pics...all four of her feet are white...and her tail is tipped in white.  And notice the white on her chest....oh, it is hard to give an adequate description of her.  But I would like to add that her personality is as lovely as her appearance.
*************
I had back troubles for a while...after a trip to the chiropractor and a bit more time that was taken care of.  In the meantime, I developed a cough...no sore throat...just a cough.  And even that is not horrible, just have spells of coughing and coughing and coughing.  Life is fun!

I have accomplished nothing to speak of in the sewing world...have barely started the quilting on the quilt I pin basted a while back.  I don't really like what I have done, but am trying to look on it as a learning experience.

  3. Adorable pics. Is it an allergy cough? Right after I moved back to IL I developed a cough and found out I was allergic to the burning bush outside my screened in porch. Had to have it removed, but it ended my cough. I think we are going to go check out the Heron Park up north of Danville one day next week. Do you know if they allow dogs?

  4. The pictures are awesome, and your description fits kitty so well! After each description, I would look at the picture, and notice something I had missed.

  5. These pictures are so heartwarming. She really adores that precious kitty.

So sorry about the cough. I do hope you feel better soon. Do you like to drink hot tea? I wonder if that would help.

  7. Darling photos - I really like how the kitty is sleeping in the second image - obviously very relaxed and comfortable with Lorelei. :)

Replying to a couple of your comments on my posts -

Have not read "Long Knife," but I'll have to see if our library has a copy. Have you and Roger ever gone to the George Rogers Clark Memorial in Vincennes? The murals inside the rotunda are magnificent!

We haven't decided on our museum passes, either. I was thinking of trying something in one of the surrounding states, yet not too far away.

Hope your cough is just allergy related. It's very frustrating when that happens.

Thanks for stopping by and for all the comments! :)

  8. How sweet---a sweet kitty for a sweet girl. I do love kitties. the kitties description sounds like at least part Maine Coon Cat what with the long furry tail and large ears with tufts of hair.
I hope your back is ok. I injured my back on our fishing/camping trip the first part of July. Lots of traumatized muscle and lots of pain. Went to the chiro and 2 weeks later a MD and she said the same as the Chiro---3 to 6 months of healing. Phooey! Ruin my summer.
I hope the cough is just a temporary thing and off it will go.
    Take care, MB

  13. First of all, Happy anniversary! Lorelei and her kitty soft paws are just adorable. I love kittens. I used to have 3. Hubby ended that when all three of them got pregnant at the same time! Made me very sad, indeed. My kitties used to sleep with me just the same way. You need a kitty that has been spade. lol

Maybe you have asthma if you cough and cough and cough....that was what was wrong with me last year. 58 and just having asthma for the first time in my life (well, actually my second time...but this time lasted longer) and I didn't believe the doctor when she told me....until I got desperate and used the inhaler she prescribed and it stopped the coughing. Anyway, the moral of the story is, go see a doctor if it truly won't go away. You could find some quick relief and not have to be suffering so. Hugs.
