A rainy day in the making
This shot was taken just the other day...on another rainy day. I don't know about every where else, but around here, the goldenrod is more beautiful than I have ever seen it. And I think more abundant. Not sure how it will be after the rain we get today. Flash flooding is predicted for a huge area, and with it comes strong to severe storms. Looking at the radar, it looks to be a mess heading this way. Right now there is just the occasional drop or raining hitting my window.

The goldenrod is pretty here too this year. We were watching the radar last night and even tho we have rain it seems to be just south of us, tho we are having the flash flood warnings as well.
ReplyDeleteso pretty and i do hope you are safe and dry today... there is flooding all over the states, even here, we don't have rain, but 10 miles from here the river is about to come out of its banks.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is really beautiful for the goldenrod...wild flowers take on a beauty of their own, and the rains really make a difference. Hope the storms are minor!
ReplyDeleteI think the rainy day make the goldenrod look even more vivid and a solid yellow.
ReplyDeleteLove Goldenrod --and will feature it soon on my blog post. We are supposed to get rain --but TOMORROW.. Today is warm and WINDY--very windy... Leaves are coming down like crazy!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
This is beautiful, even though many hate it and have allergies. Now I finally get to see what it looks like!! I have great trouble telling it from wild mustard. Now I can go out looking, thanks! Oh gosh, I hope you are not included in the flood area.
ReplyDeleteThe goldenrod is beautiful here too, Rose. I hope the weather isn't too bad!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. The only Goldenrod I've seen here I tried to get photographs of the other day and it wasn't as pretty as last years.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have goldenrod here so it nice to see a picture of it. I hope your storm isn't bad.
ReplyDeleteLots of golden rod around me and lots of allergy sufferers too. Who knew it was such a pretty weed...so many people talk bad against it.
ReplyDeleteGoldenrod pretty here too. Everything here is lush and green thanks to a rainy summer. And it's raining again today.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful goldenrod! Try to stay dry!
ReplyDeleteRain rain go away
ReplyDeleteCome again another day.
But then again we have not had much rain at all this summer and I could use a little...but.......I am enjoying this sunny stuff.

I keep thinking horrible thoughts about all those people on Facebook saying "I can't wait to wear boots and sweaters" because what sane person wants to skip September and October, arguably two of the nicest months of the year (when they behave).
