We pass this house almost any time we go to Mansfield, Indiana. I so love it...I would love to see inside. It did have a Hoosier Homestead sign at one time but it is gone now. I would like to know the story of why it is gone also. This old truck is almost always parked just as it is in the photo. I have never seen a soul out in the yard or anywhere about.
This is being scheduled ahead of time....hopefully will have time to add a little bit to it before it posts.
Some houses definitely do pull at our curiosity. I live in an old neighborhood of Victorian houses and cottages. They are always a pleasure to view and ponder about their histories.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I would love to see inside. That looks like a huge porch on the left!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty little place :)
ReplyDeletei like it and it looks big to me, bigger than mine anyway.. it would be nice to know the story.. how about a nice knock on the door.
ReplyDeleteThat's a neat looking house!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. It appears to have regular add-ons, too, as many old houses have.
ReplyDeletePretty house- my curiosity would be piqued, too, if I never saw anyone moving about. It appears to be well cared for..you just never know. Maybe a night shift person who sleeps all day?
ReplyDeleteSo as I understand a 'Hoosier Homestead' is a place or farm that has been in the same family for a long time. Maybe it as sold. I would like to know also.
ReplyDeleteI hope Roger is feeling better.

Such a cute house. Curious that there are two doors so close, almost like there could be two separate dwellings in the place now. I like the color - reminds me of my folks' place. :)
