This & that....

1.   This came in the mail just a couple days ago!  Remember I did that post a few days ago about the calendars with the sunrise, sunset times, moonrise, and the signs of the moon.  I had no more than posted it till I got a note from Theresa at the Run Around Ranch..she said she would send me one, but that she would wait till she was back in town to mail it.  Well, it came a couple days ago.  I cannot tell you how much I love having all that data available to me without getting on line...all I have to do is to glance at this calendar.  Just had to thank Thersa one more itme.

2.  I could not resist starting another puzzle...it is all kinds of 'ladybugs.'  I don't see one really ladybug pictured.  I love the bright, cheerful colors.
3.  Being that I pin basted Lorelei's quilt yesterday, the design wall was bare.  This little item is only approximate 22 inches square...that is a guess.  But I put it up cause I could not stand to look in there and see nothing on the wall.
4.  This is a Christmas ornament my older daughter got me...this does not show it good.  There is a hole in the bottom to put a little light up through and it is just so cute.

5.  I think you could certify that I am nuts...I am so tired of working with the same old scraps that I wish I had some new ones!  Just to have something new to add into the mix.

I am linking to Willy Nilly Friday 5....I hope you will join with your own willy-nilly thoughts and pictures.

  1. What a neat calendar! And I do love the colors in the puzzle. Hey, why not buy some packs of new quilting squares, they don't cost much.

  2. I know exactly what you mean about the same old scraps...wanna trade? I have a ton of 2 1/2 strips or 5 inch squares.

  3. That is a fabulous calendar! There's even a fishing guide at the top corner - I hope it's accurate in Indiana, as well as Texas! :D

I never thought about it until just now, but piecing/making quilts is very similar to solving jigsaw puzzles.

That is a very cute covered bridge ornament!

#2 Man oh man you have more patience that I do.
#3 What a great scrappy quilt.
#4 Looks like a covered bridge.
#5 We are all certifiably nuts, it's the only way to be.

  7. Can I come over and help with the puzzle? I don't have one out right now, as I get so involved in them! Can't walk by without stopping to put in just one more piece to fit. Have a lovely weekend.

  8. Love the ladybug puzzle. It will be quite a challenge. Personally I don't like putting puzzles together. I'm just weird that way.

  9. Ha! I laughed when I read about your wanting some new scraps to add to the mix because that's what I often feel when I'm looking through photos deciding what to post next! :)) The addition of a brand-new photo or two can make the rest look so more inviting!

  10. That calendar is just amazing....so much info. Theresa was so kind to think of you! I used to love puzzles; I don't seem to have the patience, but yours is going to be lovely! Special ornaments are the best.

  11. Rose, I love the covered bridge Christmas ornament! Your little quilt on the wall is as colorful as your new puzzle! I'm working on a baby quilt for the Children's Home out of some old scraps...I know what you mean about wishing for new scraps (new fabric!) :-)
