Looking forward to spring

I was trying to hurry and look a couple photos to blogger...so since we are all waiting for spring I though I would post this.  It is a bit past 10:00 p.m. as I type this and it is only 7ºF as I type this!

It is just so cold and the wind just cuts right through a person.  Just too cold for words to describe.  When we came home tonight, the wind had blown the swing about half way across the porch.  It is wood...so you know the wind was strong...

  1. Lovely iris against that wonderful rustic fence! Nice choice for this blustery day!

That wind was absolutely brutal today. Yes, that had to be quite the gust to move your swing that far! If we wouldn't have had two wooden planters and a bench seat still on the patio to 'catch' our swing, I think the swing would have ended up in the trees behind the house!

    Stay warm!

  4. I think we are all thinking the same thing at the moment. It is bitter, bitter cold up here, with temps dropping down to minus 40 oC (minus 40 oF) with the windchill, I have a similar theme on my blog today.

  6. Wow- that is cold! We are due for winter weather, so I guess I will have to wait and see how bad it gets. Yesterday was in the 70s.

  11. Lovely Iris. Yes I'm sure those who've had all that cold and snow are super longing for Spring. Here it's starting to show signs and it's been pretty mild for winter. Still I look forward to it with great anticipation.
