Moo-oo-ooo

Just a few shots from the road...well, paused in the road.  The calf was a bit afraid.
The other cattle could have cared less...
they looked at us, but we were of no concern to them.
The little guy moved farther way.

I feel pretty much back to normal today...did not sleep Friday night.  About the time I would be nodding off, one of the cats would do something.  I finally just sat and read.  But yesterday I was wiped out all day.  Didn't do somethings cause I figured I would just mess things up.  I have learned not to sew anything or do any cutting when worn out like that.  I went to bed before midnight though!  Did not get up till 9½ hrs later.  Felt like a new person today.

We ran to Walmart for a few things, and on the way there we passed through part of the strip pit area and then by these cattle.  I bet no cows anywhere have had their pictures taken as often.  I sometimes wonder if their owners see me...they are just catty-corner  from them.  I usually feel that the big cows expect a treat so feel like they are treated well.

Now, for a little bit of fun...imagine catching this when ice fishing!  Edited to add:  I don't know why I said fun....I mean to say time for something amazing.

I often wonder what cows think when we are staring at them and taking pictures of them.. They certainly do LOOK at us, don't they????ha

  4. Yes Whiskey Girl is a black and Tan Coon Hound. She is a real sweet dog. Kylee and her friend roxy were at a dog show. Her friend roxy has a Redbone hound and she was showing her. They saw these Coon hounds and one in a crate and felt sorry for her. She was abused by the owner who was a breeder also. Abused in the fact that she was never let out of her crate----According to Kylee--NEVER!
so they pestered the guy so much he gave them the dog and we got her. This was about 6 yrs ago. The poor girl was about 2 and didn't even have a name.
she had a huge hernia and what is called a Cherry eye. Not good. Kylee's Mom took her to the vet and he fixed her eye and said the hernia was too old to do anything about. My second oldest daughter took her in and her family loved her. She just turned out to be a lovely dog. Long story but thanks for listening----or ....

  8. The video is really amazing. That guy needs to wear some gloves in that cold weather. Poor duck. Wonder how he got ahold of the lure, and then under the ice? He's lucky the guy rescued him.

  9. Oh my gosh- that POOR duck! I can't even imagine how that could have happened. Surely ducks don't swim that deep. The black speckled faced cow above is so unusual- they do look very comfortable. I hope you feel better soon. I seem to have sleepless nights in some kind of strange cycle...the black rings under my eyes are a dead giveaway to how badly it makes me feel. I'm about ready to do a sleep study just to find some relief or an answer to the problem.

  10. I'm amazed the duck lived very long trapped under the ice like that. What a happy ending for him!
That's an interesting cow with the blackish face and black ears.
