Fall is coming on....

We were out last week, and I noticed the briars really starting to turn...
Goldenrod has been going quite a while here, so it is in full bloom for the most part.  Of course I see it and think:
The golden rod is yellow,
The corn is turning brown,
The trees in apple orchard,
With fruit are bending down....
you know the first verse of the poem September by Helen Hunt Jackson.

The other day going to my dermatologist, we passed this sight.
Luckily for me, we were at a stoplight and I got to zoom in a little bit.  I bet this lady had no idea she would be pictured on blog on the world wide web.

Speaking of dermatologist, I had a spot removed from my ear....it was benign, thank God.  I feel like I have been so blessed by God to not have any more after the first two spots that were cancer.

We are planning to try to get out to the strip pits to see the lunar eclipse/blood moon.  Have you got plans....or can you see it just fine from your house?  I could probably see it from here, but just not as good as from out there.  And beginning to wonder about it at all because it is back all clouded and overcast as I type this.

  3. Glad to hear the spot was nothing serious. Still not much color here. Those mums look so pretty.

  4. Glad all is ok. Bob fell ill Thursday night and ended up in the hospital until Saturday late afternoon. He was looked over from top to bottom and front to back and he is OK! Absolutely nothing wrong with him and no reason why he fell ill. Puzzles and mysteries.
I took some geranium cutting and stuck them and now they are in the greenhouse. I hope that winter over in there. Fun to try.

  6. Autumn is looking lovely in Indiana! When I zoom my little camera I often wonder if people have any idea of how close I can get to them. ;) The sky was cloudy over East Gwillimbury so I missed the Blood Moon!

  8. I love Autumn---and all of the colors. We don't have too much here at this time --but each day, I see a little more...

Didn't see the moon/eclipse at all last night---too cloudy here.

Glad your skin-spot was benign... Thanks be to God.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  10. Loved the color in your post and am so happy your dr. report was a good one. I go Wednesday for a full body check. Growing up in south Florida and walking to and from school did damage. Thanks for the info. I will study it tonite and see if I can complete the task. How old is Lorelei now. I cannot believe my Eloise is 1.

  12. I really need to get out and take pictures of plants that only bloom in the fall here. It's doesn't feel like fall yet, our temps are still in the 90's during the day. BUT, cooling is coming this weekend, YAY!
