A little randomness...

Photo from September

 1.  I have not been in the mood to blog much...not sure why.

2.  Roger is improving some.  He has had no new places break out, and he is not itching near as bad.  We have found out that his magnesium levels are low.  We will see the nurse practitioner again Tuesday.   I am thankful he has gotten some relief, and I know he is even more thankful than me.

3.  It has rained here.  All. day. long.  And been gray and drab and dreary.  The cats want out.  They go out only to want back in in a few minutes.

 Another September photo

4.  Our Christmas tree is up, not decorated.  I love just even seeing it with only the lights on.

December 2012

5.  I have been reading Call of the American Wild:  A Tenderfoot's Escape to Alaska.  I am enjoying it very much.  You can follow that link to read about it.

That is it from my little corner of the world...hoping that the rain doesn't return tomorrow.  I want to do something, but not sure what.  Not shopping!

  1. i have been wanting to read a book about people heading for Alaska...maybe I will have to give this one a try. So glad your hubby is feeling better and that no new place have appeared. Here is hoping for the best. The hay bale photo is so green and lush looking. Now they will be lifted up and hauled in for winter. It is hard to believe that that precious photo of Lorelei was taken in 2012. She is going to look different this year. She and Eloise are growing up so fast.

  3. Good to hear that Roger is getting better. That was a beautiful decorated Christmas tree with a sweet little angel dressed in pink in Dec. 2012. Have a wonderful weekend!

  4. The days grow shorter and the blahs wait to take over. This too shall pass.
Hoping Roger continues to improve and a little sunshine breaks through to brighten your days.

  5. good news roger is improving, hope it goes away soon. that is one really adorable queen you have there in front of the tree. i let my tree sit for a couple of days before i put ornaments on it. it sounds like you have the blues from all that rain. i can take one day but after that i get depressed

  6. Glad to hear that about Roger and wishing him all the best. Lorelei looked so cute in her outfit. I like your tree also. Rain, rain, go away, and stay away for a long time ;) Pretty rural scenery in the top shot and pretty sky in the second. Enjoy the rest of your weekend Rose :)

  7. Love the photo of your pink princess. My, she has grown up a lot since that photo was taken...but she still looks like Lorelei with that big smile. I'm glad Roger is feeling better. I think the days getting shorter sap our energy. Only three more weeks and says start to grow longer again. lol

  8. Isn't it amazing what rain does to ones perspective. I always welcome rain but by afternoon I am says rain rain go away bring me some blue sky. We have been having beautiful bright sunny days---love it. This morning the temp is 19degreesF. So it will be sunny and nice today. Rain in the forecast by Wednesday. It rained so hard last week the ground was squishy---no more!
Sweet picture of L. and now she is growing up so fast. Also like the rolling hay bales. Great shot.
I think I read that book but I will research it. Thanks.
