Another year of The Voice

I don't know about you, but we do enjoy watching The Voice....and this year looks like another good year.  We really enjoyed tonight's contestants...just have to share a couple of the songs/contestants.  The first I am going to share with you is this:

Braiden just turned 15!  This song is an old favorite...I remember when it was popular on the radio...I am not crazy about certain things about how he sang it, but I still got chills down my arms.  He has such a great voice.

Then there is this one:

Jordan Smith is from near my part of the country....he is from Harlan, Kentucky.  I cannot listen without tears...I liked it by Beyonce, but oh, there is something magical about this.   And if you look up the rest of the songs he has sang, you won't be disappointed.

  2. Hi Rose, I enjoyed the show last night. I love the song that Braiden sang - it was populalr in my college days. Fun to hear it again.

You mentioned that Roger is a Veteran. Please thank him for his service and I hope you guys can find a green light bulb!

  4. There are TWO contestants from our area which our news channels are really following. One is Jordan --who truly has a gift from God with that voice... Not only is he from Harlan (near where I grew up) but he is also a fine Christian young man... I hope he WINS it all.... (But --it's the teens and younger kids who vote --and they will always go for the hunky, good-looking person no matter what the talent is.)

The other one is from near Knoxville and is a high school student. Emily Ann Roberts is her name and she sings tonight. She is coached by Blake Shelton whom I like... Hope she does well also --even though she is quite young.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  7. Oh, my goodness....you are a Voice person, too. I live for it and love everything about it. Eloise is in love with Sawyer from last year, and now is in love with Braiden. She got her homework done tonight so she could see who went through and to hear Sawyer sing. We were instant messaging the entire time. I love our little iPhones. She has an old one that is not connected to the internet and cannot make calls, but she can instant message me thru the iMessage part. I live for her daily messages. It makes her seem closer. You and I adore our little granddaughters.

  8. Hope you see this......last night was so exciting. Zach with his Elvis wiggles and fab voice and looks, Jordan, the sweetest guy on the block - what a dear - and Braden - Eloise’s love all went though. It was a happy night for us. I have been going back through all of your old posts that I have missed along the way trying to find one where you discussed your husband. I am so concerned about him. I hope these tests will be able to you all what is going on. You will be in my prayers. Please keep me posted. genie
