1. Lorelei was here last weekend and called for me to come look...she was watching this fellow across the street. This is not a good pic...it was not still a second. Peck, peck, peck!
2. We saw this calf last week...I couldn't resist snapping a couple even though I was having a real hard time seeing the viewing screen of my point & shoot camera.
3. This is the type of weather we were having two years ago today. I am beginning to think we might not get any of this this year. But a little snow is predicted for Monday and Tuesday...
4: For a little laughter:
5. Just in case you missed it, I finished the Lotus quilt top yesterday....you can see it here.
I am linking to Willy Nilly Friday 5
those woodpeckers are very "prehistoric" looking don't you think? I love your quilt.
ReplyDeleteI marvel at the features of the woodpecker and how God created so many fantastic things for us to watch. Love the cow and the snow photo too. Rocky cat and Trixie cat play/wrestle like this cartoon. When Rocky gets too rough, all John has to do is pat his bedroom slipper on the floor and Rocky stops!!! lol I really love your quilt. Hope you are feeling good today and I wish you guys a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteAwww poor new kitty---just wanted to play with Simon's cat. LOL
ReplyDeleteNeat shots. We are having a mild winter here too---although we usually do anyway.

ReplyDeleteEach day and year is different and a gift...enjoy!
ReplyDeletePesky woodpeckers! The calf takes me back to my childhood days on the farm. So cute.
ReplyDeleteoh, the comic was a little stressful to watch . . but, fun.
ReplyDeleteI hope most of Simon's encounters are more happy making . . (giggle)
all your photos are terrific - that red headed woodpecker was a real catch . . . they can be so quick.
Great Week to You!
A beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeletethat woodpecker looks like an interesting bird...never seen in my part of the world but I do see plenty of cows....that calf is too cute for words! I also went to have a look at your quilt...I have the template tool for that design and I love how yours turned out!
ReplyDeleteHello Rose!:) Woodies are soon startled, but you did good with both the Woodie and the calf image. I sometimes just point and shot, and hope for the best, and it works sometimes, so it's always worth a try.
ReplyDeleteI love your bed cover, it must have taken many many hours of patient sewing to complete. It's beautiful!:)
I think the woodpecker shot is fine, it has a watercolor look to it. What a cute calf :) We are supposed to have freezing rain today, so far nothing.
ReplyDeleteLovely post Rose and loved the quilt. Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteLorelei is becoming a bird watcher! :-) Very observant! The cat video was so cute...reminds me of Pepe lePew. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are making me jealous with your eagles and woodpecker! ;)
ReplyDeleteoh i love the calf! there was a woodpecker pecking on one of our shutters the other day, took me the longest time to figure out what it was because he'd stop every time i'd open the door lol...we are getting some wintry mix over night but not supposed to really amount to anything, less than a half inch, they say ha, we'll see! thanks for linking rose and have a wonderful week!
