Snowing with wild abandonment

We got up to rain, and as I was in the process of telling Roger I did not think we were going to get any snow at all, the rain changed to snow as I spoke.
It is the kind that sticks....it is the kind that makes me want to get out and tramp the woods...
It is the kind that calls to the child in all of us.

  2. Pretty scenes, Rose! It's still in the form of rain over our way but supposed to change over to snow later this afternoon. Stay warm and safe, and enjoy! :-)

  3. Oh Rose it is so beautiful and I understand what you mean by in calling to the child within us. We seldom get any snow and January is the month when we would get any. Alas January is gone by already. Now I am ready for Spring not snow---well maybe a smidge.
    Beautiful images.

  4. wow.....I was hoping we would just get rain. Looked out as I was tying this and darn if ours isn't turning to snow, too. Beautiful photos, but I'm tired of winter.

  5. Brrr....It looks pretty cold. My inner snow child just wants to stay inside where it's warm.

  6. Packing snow! Perfect for a snowball fight.
Our snow from the same weather system was mostly wet and then it turned to rain. Sadly, no sledding and no snowballs fights for us today.

  7. It is a pretty snowfall. When I was kid in Georgia, we loved to play in the snow and mama would make us wear Colonial bread bags over our shoes to keep from getting wet!

  9. In Northern Indiana we were supposed to have rain that changed to snow. Never got a drop...it was snow from the get go. Lots of wind made it a Blizzard that is still going strong. Some areas up here got 16 inches. I think we might have 8-10. There is not one iota of child left in me that likes the snow, lol. But 40 degree weather on Monday will bring the mud, which I hate, but not as much as snow!1

  12. Pretty snow shots. We did not get rain or snow, it's been perfect weather for the sap to run.

  13. It does look very cold, but also serene. One to enjoy looking out the windows I suspect.

  15. Hello Rose!:)It looks very cold where you are, but you took some very pretty snow scenes, through the window I exspect, which is where I would be, snug indoors, if I lived your way,....no tramping for me.I have only ever seen snow twice in Portugal!
    Stay warm Rose!:)

  16. Geese...You weren’t kidding. It really was snowing. I hope you two managed to stay warm and did not have to get out in it. The pictures are really nice in black and white. That was a great idea.

  17. What glorious images! It's amazing how a blanket of snow can transform the scene so completely. Feeling slightly envious of your wonderful, white world. All the best, Bonny
