Five Randoms

I have been wanting to do the Friday Five and have such a hard time making up my mind what to share.

1. Today I am starting out with a song from Growling Old Men...I heard them on PBS's Live From Dennison Lodge.

2.   This one is one you cannot listen to in just a moment or two, but listen to a minute or two.  Once I heard his voice I had to watch it, but it is one I could just listen to and enjoy. (There is also Farm Story, featuring the same guy.)

3.  I got to pick my Juki 98Q and bring it home yesterday.  I am one happy girl...if I dare to call myself a girl.

By the way this is an old photo.

4.  I have only sewed a very few stitches on it since I brought it home.  I had a set of wire shelves to put together when we got home.  And then we have looked and looked for something we have lost.  It is something Roger ordered just before his stroke, and it came while he was in the hospital.  It laid in there on the table, unopened until he had been home a while.  After he started coming more to himself, he opened it.  I have not seen it sine--that I remember.

We have both looked off and on all the time were home today.  I don't know whether he laid it down and lost it or if I picked it up and put it some place 'safe' without even realizing it.

Do you ever lose things?

5.  Roger is slowly improving in some things...but not fast enough to suit him.  I want to do a post about that in a day or two if I can gather my thoughts enough to get it done.

That is my 5 for Willy Nilly Friday Five....

  2. Oh, I enjoyed your Friday five. The music is good, and I'm going back and listen to the full video about winter. He does have a nice voice. I've kinda thought posting the Friday five would be fun too. Do I ever lose things? Yes! and usually it is because I put the thing in a safe place where I will remember! Imagine that!

  5. Such a lovely video. I lose things all the time, and I could swear that there's some sort of house gremlin hiding them on me ... and then they turn up, stowed away in some safe place that I've forgotten about. Hope your lost delivery shows up soon, and all the best to Roger for his continued recovery.

  7. Juki . .That's a brand name I'd had not seen until now. I'm glad you have it home again.

    This music is mighty fine.

Loose things? Golly, I've managed to lose myself a couple of times . . .

Thank you for sharing with us.

  8. so glad you got your sewing machine and yes, I have misplaced things by putting them somewhere safe. like my big sunglasses that came with my cataract surgery. I needed them for a check up because I am having issues with the right eye. had to go without them, but did find them when I came home. hope you find what you are looking for.

  9. I have the tendency to keep things in very "safe" place. So safe that I can't remember where I kept my things. That is a very nice modern sewing machine. I am still using an old machine handed down from my mother in law. Have a great day!

  12. It's fun to be back participating in WNF5.
    Enjoyed your randoms.
Wish I could sew. I have a very old Singer Machine and one of those Jenome Mini machines but I suck at sewing.
Glad to hear Roger is doing better even though he seems impatient about it (that's a man for you).

  15. I am now in the age of lost things. I never used to lose things, ever! But now I do a lot. I think with strokes it is sometimes two steps forward and one step back.
