Thankful...

I am so thankful that I had the privilege of growing up here...at one time or another I have played, or hiked, or hunted ginseng over all the places in these photos.  Except for the mountain that is on the  right side in the photo above...the one that is a bit the tallest.  I am not sure about it...but pretty positive I am looking at this right.

This is a view that is to the right of the top photo..those ridges are actually much closer to home and I/we were on all of them.  I can remember taking my dogs and being on top of them...just to be out and about.

I am very thankful that Roger got to start his allergy shots yesterday.

That is pretty countryside, and many happy memories, I'm sure. Glad to hear good news about Roger, too.

I love your stories of growing up. It sounds so idyllic but I suppose the good times were and those we concentrate on.

BTW: I scrolled through some earlier posts and commented. Sorry I missed them.

These photos could be of my home! Gorgeous shots and always great to be thankful for where we are. Glad to hear that Roger is starting with his allergy shots. My daughter suffers with allergy/asthma problems, so I know it is trouble! Thanks for linking up!

It's beautiful! I loved living in a place like that for a few years and walking on the land every day. It's good for you...body and soul! Hugs!

Beautiful scenes! I loved every minute of growing up in the country, wouldn't trade it for the world. We sound a lot alike, I also walked every inch of the farm I grew up on and knew it like the back of my hand. Have a nice day and weekend, too!

Yes, a beautiful place. Thankful to grow up there...yes...and thankful to grow up in a time and place that was peaceful and safe. A time that we made our own games and created with our own imagination.
xx, Carol
