1. Someone had a birthday today! Can you tell she is happy?
2. I have yet to visit everyone for Thankful Thursday and here I am getting ready to link to another meme. I will try to visit everyone though. Unless something unforeseen happens.
3. Does everyone have bloggers that they miss? I still miss EG....but she is not the only one. Some I don't know what happened. Does anyone remember Montana Girl? I loved her photography...Elaine at Arctic View has not posted in a while...and others I miss I sort of know what happened and find them a little bit easier to deal with. But hate it when someone is just gone and we don't know what happened.
I wonder did they start out to take a break like I did last summer while we had Lorelei and then it change into something more such as like when Roger had his stroke.
4. For something a bit more fun, how about one of my favorite songs:
5. And just for fun a different version....
Believe it or not Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead was part of this group.
Linking to Willy Nilly Friday 5.....
I always liked 'Wild Horses'. AND

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Smiley FAce!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I have Blogger friends I miss. Most have gone off to the cyber FB land where you really don't have to say much but post a pic or meme. I so much love Blogland better and now they Have Instagram to hang out on. Too much cyber for me. I also enjoy Wild Horses. I have heard the second version before and they are both GREAT. Who DIDN"T love JG?
xx, Carol
I miss quite a few bloggers, miss them a lot. With a few, I know what happened to them. Many are leaving for Facebook. But the ones who just say they are leaving and end of story, I always wonder. I will e-mail them if I can, to find out how they are. Finally Lorelei!! How old is she now? Eight or nine? I hope her Hatchimal hatched. There is a lawsuit over the ones that didn't! I LOVE Wild Horses! I don't care that much for the Stones heavy rock songs, but they sure write beautiful ballads! Also Angie. Never heard this new version before! Well, new to ME.
ReplyDeleteLooks like she had a wonderful birthday. Very sweet! I do miss a few bloggers. You always worry something drastic has happened.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
What a sweet little birthday girl!
ReplyDeleteBloggers do come and go --including me. I'm doing better right now since it is winter and there's not as much work in the yard... BUT--there are times I just can't do it all. I do love FB --and many blog friends have moved to FB.... I do wonder about a lady named Sylvia (who blogged every day --and then we GONE)....
ReplyDeleteI do know that it's hard to get back to blogging if you have been gone awhile... I've heard from a couple of people who haven't blogged in a long time and then they start blogging again. MOST of them don't continue....
I really like blogging better than FB IF I had more time. The way I blog, it takes quite a bit of time... BUT--I do it for ME --and it's my journal (especially when we travel).
FB people also come and go ---and when someone disappears, Facebook is better than Blogger at telling if something bad happened or if someone dies... EG is one of them... She and her hubby were killed in a car accident --and I heard that on FB...
Lorelei is growing up so fast... What a gorgeous smile... Happy Birthday to her.
Hugs,
Betsy
I believe that is one happy girl! I've noticed a lot of bloggers missing since I quite posting over a year ago. Perhaps you noticed Rubbish by Roan went missing. I had ended a bad marriage so was going through a lot. My heart wasn't into blogging anymore. But now I have remarried to someone I have known for over 40 years and retired, so now I'm back with a new blog called The Crow's Nest. I'm not posting as much for fear I will get blogger burnout again, but I am back.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet little birthday girl! I do think of those bloggers that I miss. It just makes me think of how fleeting life can be. Love 'Wild Horses'. x Karen
ReplyDeleteYes, there are a few bloggers that I miss too. Glad Lorelei had a good birthday. She does look happy...and sweet. I like the Wild Horses version best. At night when I'm sewing I listen to Bluegrass music. That is a good song.
ReplyDeleteLorelei is a lovely young lady. Yes,some bloggers disappear.I' have been thinking of Elaine from Arctic View recently and wonder where she is.As Betsy said, many are on FB instead.
ReplyDeleteNice song, Wild Horses. Happy birthday to Lolerei. Such a sweet smile. Yes, I do miss some bloggers.

Yes, send me please information to the program, maybe it helps. We still had some programs, they could find nothing and all other tests were okay, since beginning december we are searching and trying...
My comment has a personal email, not a "noreply blogger". You can use it.
Enjoy your weekend
Happy Birthday to Lorelei Rose. She looks so happy. Hope she had a good day. Yes, I know what you mean. It feels sad and unfinished when you lose touch with someone whose work you've enjoyed and admired here on Blogland.
