I know it is Wednesday but while I am thinking about it, I am going to post what I am thankful for this week. I am so thankful Lorelei got to spend the night last night. It has been a while since she had got to spend the night so was wonderful to have her here.
She was on a roll last night...she had one poem and for the life of me I cannot remember half the lines but last night I could say it right along with her. I asked if she had had to memorize it...no, no teacher made her. She said she went back to it and read...5 times...and it was stuck in her head.
Anyway, I take it as sign she is going to like poetry...and she was trying to come up with some poetry of her on as we went to sleep.
Linking to Thankful Thursday.
Lorelei read poem only 5 times and remember it? Congratulations. I'd love to have memory like her... :)
ReplyDelete...kids seem to remember everything, but how to pickup their rooms.
ReplyDeleteOh she is growing! She has always had the biggest and brightest smile. My mom loved poetry and could often make up poems on the spur of the moment!
ReplyDeleteBless her heart... That little gal is growing up MUCH too fast.... So glad you got to see her.....I know how special she is to you...
ReplyDeleteToday I am thankful that TOMORROW this horrible killing freeze will be OVER...
Hugs,
Betsy

Glad you got to have he visit. Kids just make everything right. One thing I loved was watching my daughter and grands interests change as they got older. One passion seemed to stick with each one. Maybe hers will become poetry.
ReplyDeleteToday, I am thankful for my close relationship with my oldest grandson. (we raised him).
