Thankful + Random

I will warn you ahead of time...this is not much of a video...I just wanted to do a little video featuring the sky....

I was wishing I could take a panoramic photo when the idea to take a short video hit me...so I pulled as far to the side of the road and quick did this before another car came...

I am so thankful to have been able to be out for a while on day like this one.

************
Also, thankful that we got to keep Lorelei a couple days last week.  She initiated a little conversation with me.
Lorelei:  "I am your only grandchild, aren't I, Mamaw?"

Me: "Yes."

Lorelei:  "Well, someday I will get married and have kids and I won't be the only one.  But I have got to grow up and go to school and do stuff first."   Those are pretty close to her exact words.  She used to tell me all the time she was going to have kids.  Actually, there is more to this latter part but not going into it now.

************************

This is my new Grand-dog, Delta.  I have only seen pic of her and can't wait to meet her  in real life.

*********************
I think today has been the first day ever, that I have not felt those fearful feelings, since Roger's stroke.  Not even a little bit.

******************

I have three blocks cut out and hoping I get to sew them together tomorrow.

*************
I have gotten several phone calls made that needed to be made.   And they all went smoothly instead of having to wait and wait and wait.

I started out to make a post to link to Thankful Thursday.....

And then decided I will try to remember to link to Willy Nilly Friday 5.

  1. Thank you, Rose. The video was great and I get to enjoy the sky and the surrounding area as well. The narration of the conversation between Lorelei and you brought a smile to me. Delta, your grand-dog looks big! Glad to know that you are doing fine and have a beautiful weekend!

  2. Dang I wrote out a long comment and then wanting to look at the irrigating machines again I lost everything. I started it something like ---clouds, irrigating things and a dog named Delta---Now what else did I say. I won't be able to duplicate it so I'll just ramble on. I am glad you got out and that you are feeling better about things. Leave to Lorelei to come up with interesting conversation---love it.

  5. I like the video. The clouds remind me of waves on a choppy sea. The weather has sure been varied lately! That Lorelei is a sweetheart. I am so glad that you had a day free from the fearful feeling. That is the peace that Jesus gives, isn't it! I know I have felt the prayers of my friends too! Thank you.

  12. Nothing beats a warm sunny day to lift my spirits. Here is a story about what a bad "Bama" I am. My oldest grandson has lived with us most of his life. I used to collect Chimpanzee figurines. They were in different poses, like one held a football, or the see, speak and hear no evil ones. I used to tell my grandson that I had a lot more grandsons before him but when they were bad I turned them into monkeys and put them on the shelf. For a while he actually believed that!! Once he brought me a monkey for my collection. It was holding a loving cup that said world's best Grandma. Kids are our biggest joy in life.

  14. Lorelie is such a darling. I am glad you had a good day of not stressing about Roger. I had one of those yesterday about my mom. Mark took me out for a drive and we had such a good day. It was a nice distraction for a very sad heart. Have a wonderful weekend, and you two are in my prayers.

  18. What great clouds! I'm sure they're one of those special low-level cloud types, but I'm a bit clueless about their names. Whatever they're called, they look really dramatic and wonderfully textured. Love your new Delta grand-dog. He's a really handsome chap. Funny little Lorelei: I'm sure she'll grow up to be a lovely mummy one day. My 11 year-old son is also very clear that he'd like to have children. He's also sweet around younger children, looking after them and thinking that they're so cute. His elder-statesman routine around them always makes me smile.
